Walking along in the endless space of my home, I traveled north. It was soon to be time for me to go to civilization to find out what happened to my family.

After walking for whats seemed like forever, i decided to rest. I don't know exactly how much longer i had to go, and honestly i haven't walked nearly as much in the past couple months than i did today. Although i was exhausted, i couldn't sleep. That has always seemed to be a problem. I never slept, and when i did it was nothing but a vast darkness.

........................................................................................................................

I jerked awake. I guess somehow i nodded off in my makeshift hammock high above the ground. I've been sleeping above the ground for the reason of the animals that like to come play 'snuggle buddies'. Most of the animals are cute, and a good number of them are very timid, but regardless of that, they carried a number a different diseases depending on the part of the canopy they resided in.

Climbing down can be difficult sometimes, but i love the challenge, the adrenaline... I lost my footing. I landed with a loud thud and the breath was knocked out of me. I stayed laying there for a couple minutes. I knew i wasn't hurt, but there was something peaceful about looking to the sky from the ground.

There was rustling behind me. I got up too fast, and dizziness washed over me. Before i was able to gather myself together and face whatever made the noise, i felt a pair of hands on my shoulders. Definitely not an animal coming to greet me. I froze at the touch, internally yelling at myself to do something, but i couldn't move.

When i finally regained control of my body, i didn't turn to see who it was, i just started running. I heard a voice call out to me, asking where i was going. The shouts seemed to fade, and i slowly came to a stop, Bent over with my hands on my knees, i sat panting, hoping that they would attempt to find me again.
