You stood patiently on the bridge looking toward the horizon. One more perfect snap of the waves and your crave for aesthetics would be satisfied. For now at least.
It was really early in the morning and not many people were out. You made sure to enjoy that last few days at the beach before going back home where everything was very stressful.
Since you loved taking pictures of anything and everything, you decided to get out of bed just in time for the first golden hour. The sun hit the sand just right making the sky a deep baby blue and the water reflect it's shades of purple. You leaned against the Breeze way's railing to get the best pictures you could. At this time the clock had struck 7 an more people started to walk by.
You silently took your pictures trying to get at least one wave in. When the time came to snap the biggest wave, you felt someone bump you. Your hands that gently positioned the camera, lost its grip as soon as you were ran into.
Fear clouded your mind until you remembered you were smart not to do over the water. Relieved your expensive as hell camera wasn't sinking to find Nemo, you take a deep breath and start heading down stairs.
When your reached the sandy beach, no one was around to see you scavenge the sand for your item. It would've been slightly awkward to to be looking for something that doesn't belong. It took a long time, but you reached underneath the area you were standing on the bridge. You didn't see your camera anywhere, but you did find a trace of it.
There was an impression in the sand where it must've landed. It was wayyy under the bridge as if it bounced off of something. You wondered if it broke. But you also wondered why there were footprints near the spot.
Looking down to see if any pieces of the camera fell off, you didn't notice a boy walking up to you from behind the support beam....with your camera."You must be looking for this." The guy held up the camera, not too close to you incase you were to rob him. It took a second to find words to say.
"Thank you so much!" You thanked him gratefully. "The worst ideas came to mind of what could've happened..."Still looking at the camera, he spoke with multiple topics at once. "Your pictures are so good, did you take photography classes? The same thing once happened to me so I invested on a strap....It hit my head as I was also doing this."
It took a second to split up everything he said but eventually was understandable and you nodded. "You were taking pictures of the water too?" You asked curious of that topic in particular.
The black hair that fell on his face when he looked up was instantly flicked away. He then looked at the ocean. "I was... I enjoy photography a lot... And taking pictures of beautiful things." He kept trailing off trying not to do the multiple topic thing. He never looked away from you. "Until your camera hit me on the head out of no where." he referred to the topic he wanted you to know about most.
"Oh my gosh!" You gasped covering your mouth and reaching over to console his soundingly painful headache.
He let you cup his face and search for any bumps, in which you found none. He also let out a small laugh, making you blush realizing how touchy feely you got."Sorry, uh.." You took a step back out of his bubble. "I'm the oldest sister/brother so it's almost like a reflex."
The still anonymous guy shrugged, carelessly fixing his hair that you ran your hands through. "I'm the youngest in my family. Getting hurt all the time is my specialty."
You smiled at him in which he smiled back trying to look at anything else to hide his blushing.
"I'm Jeonguk-" He quickly found a way to save the conversation. Though he did however forget to hide his desperation in it. "I'd like to get to know you a lot more better... if you're okay with that."The camera almost fell out of your hands again. It was both cute and funny how he noticeably tried so hard not to stutter. "I would love that." You replied back, him handing his phone for you to put in your number.
"I suppose I should head back now before my parents wake up and get worried." you mention after handing him back his phone. Jeonguk peeked at it before the screen went black. You had put a heart next to your name.
Before you left, Jeonguk asked for you to sit with him for a second."Please sit down for something." he asked and you did with little hesitation. He then raised his camera, giving you a second to prepare.
"Smile."
