From the corner of your eye, you saw your three friends exit the restroom. They had invited you to go to the mall with them yesterday and arranged small activities to participate in.
Since you spent most your summer break indoors, alone, binge watching Netflix, and playing video games, you thought it would be nice to change environment and get out a little."Thank you (Y/N)!" friend one thanked you as you handed back their bag.
"Yeah thanks." friend two and three joined in and took their shopping bags from your outreached arms.
You smiled kindly, rubbing the imprints on your hands left by the heavy bags. "No problem! They weren't even that heavy!"
Friend two rolled her eyes to her phone. "I'm hungry. Let's go get snacks before we leave."
"Yeah!" everyone but you exclaimed. You had eaten that morning and weren't feeling snackish at all.
When you got to the food court, your friends set their things down with you and ran off to find something of interest.
"Why don't you ever eat." Friend two all of a sudden called out. You looked up from your phone curiously. "I'm not hungry?" you stated to logical answer.
Friend one scoffed. "You're like, skin and bones you know. No guy wants that."
Friend two agreed with a nod. This conversation made you turn back on your phone. "There's a thing called fast metabolism you know. And I'm perfectly happy with my body type."
Friend two paid no mind to the sly comments they made toward you. She was more focused on someone else."Oh...my...GOSH!" Friend one all of a suddenly stood up and pointed across the food court. Worried, you followed her finger to the specific table. It was four guys.
Friend three started to fan herself. "It got really fucking hot in here if you know what I mean!"
Everyone laughed while you rolled your eyes away. They would always do this and embarrass themselves.
They all had boyfriends too. So that was something.
Taking a closer look, the group of guys did look nice. Well yes nice and also very attractive.
Especially the silver haired boy.
Seeing your fond staring at the guy with colored hair, they all made a face."(Y/N). Darling." Friend two got your attention. "He doesn't want you." She mocked a sad child. The other two joined in.
"Didn't we just point out the curves you don't have?"You sat still. Regretfully getting carried into the irrelevant thoughts of negativity. You didn't want to laugh it off like how you did everything else they said to and about you. In fact you were done.
"You guys are so rude. I can't believe it's taking me until now, and over something so stupid to finally say it." And then you walked away.
You went to the bathroom, to sorta hide from them chasing you down and causing a big scene. You fixed your hair from its stressed stray hairs and walked along the halls. You didn't want to go home just yet since you didn't buy anything for yourself l. That is when you stumbled upon a sign.
"Mario Cart Tournament?" The thought echoed in your mind. This was one of the easiest games that you always enjoyed. With that, you walked in and after getting the info, was led to the giant tv.
You took a seat in the line. There were a lot of people there. A lot of them guys and a few girls who seemed overly competitive. It made you laugh when the eager people lost right after talking shit to their opponent.
There were two rooms in which they both held two different groups. The last two players from each would join together and race at the end.Little by little, round after round, you beat the assigned player until it was only down to the last one. It was quite funny actually. Everyone has trained for this exact day to win...whatever the prize was, while you joined last minute because you were bored.
