The phone rang loud and clear and it didn't take long for Carnelian to answer. "Hey Laura! How are you?" There was a pause before.. "Hey..Lian. I'm alright, what about your lovely self?" The voice on the other end was somewhat quiet, "I'm doing well! Glad you called, I've been missing you. We should hang out soon!" Carnelian replied, a smile gracing her lips.
"I...I don't know when I'll be available next..But it would be good to see you." Laura's voice seemed to shake a little. "I just wanted to tell you how much I love you Lian..you..you mean the world to me.." Laura paused. "I have to go..I love you so much..goodbye."
"I love you too-" it was too late, Laura had already hung up. It would be nice to see her beloved, Carnelian had missed her.
