He didn't know what it was
Something about her
Was just so intriguing
That he wanted to see her all the time

He enjoyed watching her
Being her kind self
And just going about her day
While he continued to be a stranger

One day he saw her on the bridge
Passing out flyers
For who knows what
And being respectful of others

She accidentally dropped them
And he took it as an opportunity
Such a little thing
But he helped her

And they exchanged
Merely a few words
But that was more than enough
For him

Then, on another day
He found one of her hair ties
Maybe he wanted to keep it
As a reminder of her

But he didn't
He decided to return it

He was too shy to give it back directly
So he followed her to the bus stop
And got on her bus

When she was distracted
He left the hair tie on top of her books
The books she was carrying
Where he knew she'd find it

Then without a word
He got off the bus
And the bus left

As he was walking away
He noticed tagging on the station

It said:
"Won't trust, can't trust, don't trust"

Another part said:
"I'm fine"
But flipped over it reads:
"Save me"

He stopped to look at it
Before he continued walking
Maybe he remembered something
A memory of his friends

One in particular
Both of them always tagged together
Back in those days
Before it was over.
