I saw a telekine stabbing Cain. I put it under a time slowing spell. I summoned my dagger grinning as it soared near me. I caught it and sliced its boxer head off. It exploded into dust. Cain stared at me slightly awestruck. "A telekine. I was hoping for no monsters but this is the Sea of Monsters. Wow." I helped him up. His hands Er paws were as cold as ice. "I've always been this cold." He said removing his paw from my hand. "You were a demigod?" I asked. "I don't know." He said. "Well if you were I'd bet half my drachmas that you were a son of Khoine. You are just as cold as her." I said. Cain just walked away. I face palmed. How could I be so tactless? I'm worse than Percy, the Kelp Head. I have to apologize.
I looked for him. I found him on his knees with a shadow over him. "She will never love you. You are a monster." It said. "And what are you exactly?" I said dripping as much sarcasm as possible into my words. "Daughter of time I see. Well I'm a shadow." It said. "Yada yada yada." I threw a Stygian Iron throwing star at it. Let me say. I never miss. The shadow exploded. I knelt beside Cain. "Look Cain about what I said earlier it was tactless." I started. "I'm over it." He said getting up and walking away.
Time skip
"Gah!" I sat down. The summoning spell isn't working. I want to help Cain but I can't. Curse my fatal flaw, my big heart. This is hopeless. If I had Pandora's Jar I would open it. My spell nor his is going to be broken. I used my powers to check how long he has. Three months. Cain found me a little later. "Are you alright Angelica?" he asked. "No cause we're both going to be dead. Of course for me it's metaphorical. There's something I need to tell you....."
Percy pov
"It's been four months. Where is she?" Leo asked. "She has to be on one of the unknown islands in the Sea, most of which have powerful enchantments on them." Annabeth said. This is my fault. I should have taken that patrol. "Percy I'm sure she's fine. What's that?" Thalia pointed to a bag that appeared on the table. I opened it and gasped.
Angelica pov
"I don't have a heart. I lost it in a bet with Hecate. Only the person that truly loves me can give me back my heart as I'm dying. Cain until I have my heart these three words that are true mean nothing. I love you." I said. I stepped closer. He smiled and hugged me. I am happy and content. Then I smile. "I think I found my heart." I said. I started the ritual again.
Percy pov
"It's a heart. A beating human heart." I said. "It has to be Angelica's." Nico said. "She is still alive. Ow!" the Heart burnt me and disappeared. "She has reclaimed it." Lou Ellen said. "Now what? We still don't know where she is." I said. "Calm down Percy. My dad said he'll lend us a boat to go find her." Clarisse said standing up. This shows how popular Angelica is at camp Clarisse called me Percy and Ares said he'd help find her. "Let's go." I said. Angel we are going to find you.
Angelica pov
My heart appeared in my hand. I tried and failed to replace it. "It was worth a shot." I said. Cain had three months. That's it. Oh gods please help me. I wish I could stop this without nearly dying. Gah!
Cain pov
Angelica has no heart and she loves me. She wants to help me but I only have three months. I don't want her to nearly die for a monster like me. Stop those thoughts Cain that's what brings the shadows. Oh Angelica I love you.
