I closed Taylor's file and placed it carefully on my coffee table. I had spent my entire day studying this blond headed, blue eyed beauty everyone is so fascinated with. She was sweet to her fans. She had a squeaky clean image. It makes no sense that she's even a target. I grabbed a monster energy drink from my fridge. I needed a break from all this. My phone rang interrupting my thoughts.

"Hello," I answered closing the fridge with my foot.

"Hudson. Have you looked at that file yet?"

"I've studied it cover to cover."

"Well you're about to put it to good use. I'm going to send Greg close to her apartment. There's going to be a run in with her and her body guard."

Greg always played the crazy guy in all set up situations like this.

"Alright. Text me the address I'll head over there now."

"Just pull Greg off of them. That's all you have to do."

I hung up and hurried towards my car. My time window was always really short. My thoughts were swarming with facts about Taylor on my way towards my destination. The first encounter always made me nervous. There is always a chance that I could do something wrong and fail.

I walked around the corner of a street to see Greg confronting Taylor and a taller man. I almost stopped in my footsteps but I knew I had to press on. She looked beautiful. Way more beautiful than I had mentally prepared myself for. The taller man started to shout as Greg tried to grab Taylor. Her bodyguard was shoving him. Greg was stronger than he looked.

"Is there a problem here," I asked in a harsh tone.

Greg knocked the body guard out cold and grabbed Taylor.

"Let go of me," she ordered in a panicked tone.

I rushed over and grabbed him forcibly. He let go of her as planned. I gripped his wrist firmly and yanked him towards me.

"You need to watch who you mess with around here. I work for the police department here and I can arrest you."

Greg smirked and acted like he was going to hit me. I grabbed his other wrist.

"Don't even think about it. If I ever catch you around this woman again I will personally make sure you're locked up for a long time."

Before I could say anything else he sprinted away. Taylor had an exasperated look on her face. Greg knocking her body guard out was completely uncalled for.

"Are you alright ma'am," I asked her as kindly as I could manage.

"I'm fine. Just a little shaken up."

I bent down to look at her body guard. He started to come to and his eyes widened. He reached to grab me and I jumped out of the way.

"No! Dennis it's okay! This man helped me."

This Dennis guy looked like he was about to tackle me to the ground.

"I'm sorry I didn't even ask for your name," Taylor said with a frown. It took all I had to stay professional despite how starstruck I felt right now.

"I'm Hudson Brody."

I stuck my hand out and gave her an award winning smile. My grandma used to say it was a heartbreaking smile.

"Nice to meet you Hudson. I'm Taylor Swift."

"I hope you're okay Miss Swift. I'll see if I can track down the man that attacked you two."

Dennis looked at me carefully. He was trying to see if I was legit. Luckily I was used to being under the scrutiny of others so I handle it well.

"Taylor, you have to get going now," he said in a deep, corse voice.

She looked from me to Dennis and sighed.

"Thank you so much, Hudson."

"Anytime. Have a nice night."

I nodded at her and watched as she walked away. I made the way back to my car and rolled my eyes when I saw Greg standing there. He shot me a devilish grin when I approached him.

"Our work is done man. What do you want?"

I had absolutely no patience for him. He's lucky I didn't tell Kurt about his out of character punch towards Dennis. That could be a lawsuit. He'd be fired for it. Or worse. I shivered as a breeze blew over me. I pulled my jacket a little closer to my body.

"Your first celebrity case. How'd it go?"

"It went alright. I guess I'll find out from Kurt any minute now. Oh and one more thing, don't ever pull a stupid stunt like that again. I don't care what orders you get, you could've seriously hurt someone."

"Shut up Brody, I'm following orders just like you."

He shoved me against the driver side door. I laughed and shook my head. I was not about to fight him. He spat on me and walked in the opposite direction. I thought about hitting him with my car on more than one occasion. Then I realized I'm not that cruel. Also, this is a nice car.

I pulled out my phone and dialed Kurt's number. I wanted to talk to him before Greg did. He knew Greg and I didn't get along. I think that's why he always puts Greg on my cases.

"Hudson Brody. How did your first encounter go?"

"It went fine. Her body guard is skeptical of me. Greg is an idiot. He knocked him out."

"I told him to. Don't you worry about everyone else. You just focus on you. I want you to be prepared for tomorrow. We're going to step it up a notch."

"How so?"

"I hope you like Miss Swift's music."
