      Two months have passed

The now blonde boy had awoken to the uncomfortable feeling of something wet on his shoulders which has now dampened a part of his clothing. Michael's eyes shifted to Myrel who was deep in her sleep. Of course, it had to be her saliva dripping from her mouth ajar. Just when he adjusted his position for leg room, he was greeted with an aching lower back and a numb left shoulder.

"Wake up, will you," He quietly groans, glad to know a smack on her head wasn't necessary. The pilot then makes an announcement about the landing in twenty minutes. "Twenty minutes and we're there, pamper up." Myrel just hums in response and slowly makes her way to the comfort room.

The two have been planning for a mission to fly to Brisbane without a clue of what's awaiting for them. They both knew it could be trouble or success. It had been two months since Ian kept in touch with Michael. He learned to not sit around like a dog and put matters into his own hands, with the help of Myrel of course. All they knew now was that they should find Valen. Michael knew that whatever he'd see out of the window in twenty minutes wouldn't be the only barrier there is to break.

"So, Michael, what exactly will be our first move?" Myrel nervously but seriously asks, breaking the silence and causing Michael to jump in his seat.

"Could it be to get some food? I never liked airplane food." He strikes her those puppy dog eyes and a shaky pouty lip just to tease her, knowing she hates them.
"God, fine. Didn't I tell you to stop doing that? What are you five? You don't look anywhere close to adorable." She says through gritted teeth followed by a cringe. Michael chuckles breathily at her reaction.

People took a few glances at Myrel as she enthusiastically takes pictures of the airport scenery. An embarrassed Michael tries to calm her down, telling her to keep quiet and to just drag the baggage trolley. She complies, shoulders hunched only to imagine how embarrassing she might have looked.

Michael thought, Brisbane sure was pretty but he knew it was nothing compared to the person he was looking for. He found it weird how love turned your point-of-view upside down. It seems like everything was... beautiful. He wasn't happy, but it was the closest he could get to the feeling.

They make their way towards the queue lining up for the reserved hotel rooms. "God, I just wish we'd get one with a great view." Myrel sighs.

Once they get into the airport bus, only then Michael had realized that he didn't inform Ian about their arrival. He took out his phone and looked through his notes, finding for the address Ian gave him long ago and hoping he would remember it.

Before they knew it, the bus came to a halt right in front of the hotel, causing a sleepy Myrel to bump into Michael's back. Michael chuckled under his breath when she released a trail of profanities. "Get the baggages, we're here." He nudges her arm.
"So much for a gentleman, how nice of you."
"Of course." He chuckles.

The two make their way towards the entrance, luckily being one of the earliest in queue. Michael may be exhausted and look like shit but that was the least of his worries right now. He needed to see Valen. For the past two months, all he did was wonder and sulk in his own anxiety. Ian was being pathetic, Michael thought. Now that he thinks about it, he too might seem pathetic. It's only been two months anyways, and to fly over to where Valen was? God, was he rethinking all his decisions.
