scary movies

It was a rainy day today. Your job had been overwhelming you. Your boyfriend Tom hadn't helped that either.
"What do you want to do?" he asked you.
He would ask almost every second. you reply the same thing you always reply "I don't know"

Eventually he thought of a "awesome" idea.
"Babe I know what we can do lets watch a scary movie!" He said thinking that the movie was the thing that you two needed. Scary movies are not really what you liked.
"Not a fan of them." you said.
"Come on, it'll be ok Im here to protect you"
"Fine"you say giving in.
He smiled at his victory.
You both went to the couch.
"Ill be right back" you said.
"Where are you going?" he whined.
"Im going to make some popcorn."
You came back with a blanket and freshly made popcorn.
"What did you pick?" you asked.
You don't really ever watch scary movies. So this is new.
"The conjuring." he said.
"Don't worry its not that scary." he assured you.
Sighing you didn't really enjoy this idea. He took that as a okay.
You were about to press 'play' when he told you to wait.
He started arranging chairs around the living room. Bringing blankets and pillows from your guy's room.
"Your going to clean all of that up after your done with whatever your doing." you teased admiring the fort he was building.
"Be quiet and help me make this blanket stay." his smile vanishing after the blanket fell for the 5th time. You giggle as you picked up the blanket and making it stay. You helped him build the fort and then went inside. You were proud of the fort you two made. You clicked play and hugged a pillow for emotional support. Tom looked at you and smiled. "I already told you, you wont get scared."

45 minutes into the movie. He moved his arm around you. You leaned against him. Even though you were confused about why he decided to do it now. You sooned found out why. Happy that you both ate the popcorn earlier, otherwise it would have been flying, because a jumpscare made you hide your face in his chest. He laughed at you and pulled you closer.
"N-Not funny."you stuttered.
For the rest of the movie you stayed close to him arms wrapped around him. You felt safer with each jumpscare. Their were even times when Tom jumped and you laughed at him.

Once the movie was over. you had to get your mind off of things and you picked a comedy. You played and dozed off 15 minutes in.

These days should come more often.
