Oh gee Calib is still here

"Woah," repeated Alex, stunned by what had just happened, the entire house had burned down, only the counter was still intact. The clock plugged into a burned down wall. "Hey kidos" a sudden voice came through the fog that was gathering on the ground. Alex looked to the left, and saw Calib standing on a random cloud of air. He dropped to the ground in front of Alex, watching her shocked expression. "Where's Jacob?" She asked, looking around. "Boo" came a voice from behind. She spun around to see Jacob sanding there, dressed in a fresh linen shirt and jeans. She punched him in the arm. He only smiled and walked over to where Calib was standing. He spoke," me and calib have been talking and we have been actually talking all night, sorry you got here late, I kinda freaked out when you disappeared, kinda attacked Calib, but he explained." He paused to take a breath and continued," he kinda has some powers that make him super weird and floaty and shieldy and time travely and-" "what Jacob is trying to say", Calib intruped, "is that I can inflict my will apon reality and make weird stuff happen, what is currently happening is that you two are going to stay here on this little resort/ getaway while the world cools down." He paused to take a breath and continued," this also means that you cannot leave within five miles of this house, speaking of... He looked around, seeing the house in ruins, scratching his head. "This won't do" he muttered. Then, suddenly he snapped his fingers. The sound rang out, sharp and familiar. The world then stopped, the birds chirping in the background stopped, a trickle of water from a broken pipe stopped. Then, as if in a rewinded video, the house began to mend itself. Banisters magically unsplintered, appliances unexploded, the roof mended it self, marble countertops crumbled into place. Calib stood there intensely watching as the mansion mended itself. When it finished he turned to Jacob and Alex. " You", he pointed to Jacob, "have power over and immunity to fire." He the pointed to Alex, " you now have power over ice." Calib then proceeded to pull an oversized snow globe out of the inside of his jacket. "Shake this if you need me"he said, putting on the table. He snapped his fingers again, this time an honest to god, no qualms portal opened. Calib stepped into what seemed to be the capital building and drew a long thin sword, golden in color, and turned back to Alex and Jacob. "I'll be back soon kiddies" he said as the portal closed, leaving Alex and Jacob standing in their newly repaired kitchen . Alex was still considering her options. "Well, let's go outside and test these powers then," she said at last. After a moment of hesitation  Jacob nodded his head and began to follow her out the door.
