Chapter 3// Airport

The whole time waiting at the gate I had been thinking about Y/N and what she's gonna do while we're there. Y/N and I aren't really that close to each other like she is with Daniel but what we have is enough for me to believe that she's such an amazing friend to talk to.

All the guys can vouch for me when I say she's our mother even though she's younger than almost all of us, except for Zach, she's older than him by a year. But she's so kind and she's always looking out for us.

I don't think I've ever met a person in my entire life that was so nice that they're almost a saint... well there's Zach... but I think that they are both tied to be the young mom and dad of Why Don't We.

A lot of fans ship me with Y/N but I think that she likes Daniel. I still don't know why they aren't dating after what they've been through together... I guess they're better off friends.

Daniel handed me my breakfast he promised to buy for me and I engulfed it all, but obviously not in one sitting. Daniel sat next to me doing pretty much the same thing. He turned his body towards me so quick I flinched a little, "So, are you planning on hanging out with Y/N once you get to Y/H/T ??" Daniel asked me. I shrugged, "I don't know. I mean I don't want to ruin your guys' plans." Daniel shook his head while trying to finish another bite of his food, "Nah, fam. In fact, we all have zero plans on what we're gonna do with Y/N once we get there. Y/N says she's got some ideas but I don't know what she has in store for us. She told me that she wanted to spend some more time with you and Zach because for one thing, she and Zach haven't been talking lately, something happened between them, and two, she says that she rarely hangs out with you and would like to change that."

Wow, Daniel talked so much, yet he still managed to shove food in his mouth and yes, I know that Y/N and I rarely hung out but that's because I'm always socially awkward when I talk to her. I'm the most socially awkward when I am with her and it's really weird.

I mean I only helped her to drive because she was really scared of doing it by herself. So I offered to help her out because I was once in her place.

I also knew that Zach and Y/N have been going through some stuff because well, Zach liked her. He was head over heels for Y/N. I think Y/N liked him back but I'm not sure because she and Zach stopped talking for a different reason that I don't know.

Then again, I rarely talked to her so why would she spill her guts out to someone she barely knows...

"Gate E7, prepare to board the cabin." The intercom went off calling our flight gate. Daniel and I threw away our empty McDonald food containers and boarded the plane. We were first in line and then Corbyn and Jonah ran us over to get their window seats (we're all in first-class btw).

Zach just walked next to me shaking his head, "I swear I feel like I'm the most mature one in this group." Forgetting Daniel was behind us he spoke, "Says the guy who whined when he found out Y/N didn't like him back."

Ooooh bad move, Daniel. Bad. Move. Zach just ignored him putting his headphones on before entering the plane. I lightly slap Daniel's shoulder to get his attention, "Dude, you see Zach right there. He could've punched you right here, right now. But he didn't. Who's the mature one now."

I smirked and raised my eyebrows walking into the plane after giving the lady my ticket. Daniel laughed and shook his head while giving his ticket to the lady. I looked over to see Zach waiting for me near the door. He looked up and smiled, "Hey, Buddy." I walked in with him.

We reached the seats and I was about to sit next to Zach but he stopped a moment, "Wait aren't you going to sit next to Daniel?" I looked over to see Daniel lounging on ALL of the seats in his lane.

I looked back at Zach, "Don't worry I won't take a lot of pictures of you sleeping." Zach chuckled. "Just one," I mumbled a little loudly so that he could hear me. Zach playfully shoved me to the side and we just laughed.

After a while, I decided to ask Zach about Y/N, "Hey, so umm, If you don't mind me asking... what exactly happened between you and Y/N?"

Zach looked up from his phone and was quite anxious to talk about it, "Well, you know how I liked Y/N, right?" I nod my head, "Well, Daniel doesn't know it but I actually knew her longer than he did."

I looked at him surprised. Really?! He did?! "Wow, how long have you two known each other?" "Since June 2013, so like four and a half years... I didn't tell Daniel because I know how proud he is to know Y/N longer than everyone else and I didn't want to take that honor away from him. You know how can get."

At that moment I think I knew where this was going and I was right, "The reason why I was mad at Y/N was because she didn't stick up and say that she actually knew me the longest and pretended like we didn't know each other until now. I thought she had my back but she didn't and that's why I was mad. Now Daniel thinks I'm mad at Y/N because she doesn't like me back. I mean I'm kind of heart broken but I understand how she feels. Plus, the guy she likes... well I know that they'll be perfect together." I looked at Zach with both pity and confusion. Who's the guy she likes? Is it Jonah? Is it Daniel? Is it someone I don't know about? Is it someone we don't know about?

Is it me? Nah. It can't be me. Y/N wouldn't like someone like me. Would she? Do I like her? I mean we never really talk but she's been there to comfort me even though she doesn't know what she's comforting me for.

I don't know maybe if I hang out with her once we get to Y/H/T I'll see how I truly feel about her...
