Chapter Two:
"Do you need any help?" Bryn laughed at the sight of me struggling to carry all of my suit cases into our new dorm.
"No, I'm almost there.' I was completely out of breath, I don't think Bryn understood one word that just came out of my mouth.
Coincidentally, Bryn and I were assigned to the same dorm. I don't mind though, she seems pretty cool. After the little speech Mary and Miraf gave, we walked around the campus to get to know each other. She is the most genuine person I have ever met. Other than the fact she makes fun of my high-pitched voice every chance she gets. She is that kind of girl that could talk all day, but you wouldn't mind. Every time she talks, she can make you laugh. I'm just thankful I wasn't roomed with another person.
We helped each other unpack, for what felt like years. We both packed like our lives depended on it. We split the room in half, to share. I looked back at our new dorm, it was completely plain and boring.
"We should probably go shopping, so we can decorate." I cringed looking at the naked walls and the stale white sheets on our tiny beds.
"Do we have to now," Bryn flung herself on the bed, "I'm tired." I agreed with her, I was exhausted as well.
There was a knock at the door, and Bryn groaned. I walked over to the door and opened it to see who it was. Mary was standing there, in a new outfit than before. She was now wearing a turquoise flowy, crop top with high wasted jeans. To top off her outfit she sported tan wedges that complimented her long legs. Her hair was softly curled, and her pale skin looked flawless.
"Do you guys want me to help you get ready for the big party tonight?" Mary offered Bryn and I.
"I need all the help I can get." I peeked over at myself and saw how drained out I looked. I needed some serious work.
We laid down all of our makeup and hair straightners and curlers. Mary started Bryn's makeup, while I worked on Bryn's hair.
"So girls, tonight the returning girls and the pledges are all going down to a frat party. This is the first part of the Initiation. You all will be assigned to do something each week and you have to complete it before the deadline, I give you, ends. Understand?" Mary explained.
"Well what do you have planned for us?" Bryn asked, seeming uncomfortable and nervous.
"Well, Liam, the head of the Sigma Nu's, is my boyfriend." Mary said with a huge smile on her face. "He hasn't shaved in like years. So, I'm begging you to shave off his beard, dear. He looks like a fucking cavemen or a homeless man, and he claims he looks four years older. I swear to God, if I wasn't making you do this for the initiation I probably would break up with him until he shaves that ferret off of his face."
"It can't be that bad.. can it?" I questioned. I pictured this scrawny, pale, preppy boy with a little mustache, Mary must be exaggerating.
"It's horrifying to look at, trust me. Try kissing him with the damn thing."
"Well how do you suppose I shave it off of him without knowing?" Bryn looked at Mary like she was crazy.
"I can't tell you that, sweets. Youll find a way. The deadline is tomorrow morning to get it shaved off. If not, you won't have anymore chances to become a Tri Delta. You better do it because I like you two more than the others. I usually don't offer my sweet time to help you pledges." Mary offended Bryn and I, while finishing up Bryn's makeup.
"Turn and face me so I can see my masterpiece." Mary told Bryn, and Bryn complied.
Bryn looked gorgeous. Her hair was perfectly curled and sprawled across her back, every piece was in place. Her makeup complimented her face in all the right ways. She totally rocked the dark brown smokey eye. Overall, she looked stunning.
