Angel tossed and turned in her sleep, unable to find a comfortable position. She tried to fall back asleep for a few more hours but there was no luck. Angel finally decided to get up around 8am to make some coffee and maybe something to eat. Suddenly, there was a knock the the front door of her apartment. Angel groaned and went to go open it when she was greeted by a familiar face "Ari, what are you doing here?" Angel asked. Ari was wearing nothing close to her work uniform. She was wearing a loose, grey t-shirt, jeans and a black leather jacket. "No reason, just seeing what you were up to today. Man, this place could really use a lot of work. Looks just like my first shitty apartment" Ari said, inviting herself in. "Yeah, a whole lot of work." Angel grumbled realising how much work it would take. "Anyways, I'm off work today so we should go do something" Ari said confidently. Angel thought about that for a second "Like....a date?" She said, not really expecting a 'yes'. "Call it whatever you want. I think date has a nice ring to it" Ari said. Maybe she wasn't the innocent waitress she acted like. It was fine by Angel, though. "Are you....queer?" She asked. "Wasn't it obvious?" Ari returned a question, pouring herself coffee like it was her house. "Oh, well that makes it a bit easier for me to say it now" Angel said a little awkwardly. "Great. Then we can actually call it a date" Ari said, shooting a grin at Angel. "Wait Ari, if people knew we were actually on a date...people like us are targeted for hate crimes and other shit like that" Angel said, getting herself some coffee only after Ari took most of it. "Then no one has to know it's a date-only we do" Ari said, getting a little closer to her. Angel-seemingly out of nowhere-felt her face turn red at Ari's motion. "F-fine, where are we going to go?" Angel asked, trying to hide her face. "I dunno, around this little crap-town and see what it has to offer." Ari exclaimed, sipping her coffee obnoxiously loud. Angel agreed finally and the two were on their way.
They finished up and started walking down the street, The sun bringing out Ari's strange golden yellow eyes as she ranted about cheap ice cream. Angel couldn't help but laugh and smile at all of Ari's little remarks. The two finally came up to a little ice cream place "Why here? It's so fucking expensive" Angel asked, looking over the prices. "Only the best for my date." Ari grinned at her also kinda trying to embarrass her. Angel felt her face become hot "SHHshshhs, we don't want people to know!" Angel said "Yeah, yeah. What flavour do you want?" Ari said, keeping her cool personality in public. Angel quickly got out of her love-trance and ordered quickly because she's not paying and she loves food. Ari paid and ate her ice cream, at one point spat it out from laughing at one of Angel's dumbass jokes. Angel started to notice that she seemed to be growing more comfortable with Ari, maybe even more in love. "Angel I swear, if you say another stupid ass joke I will personally beat the shit out of you" Ari said, obviously joking. "Try me you little bitch" Angel joked back. "Easily, you're like 4 feet tall ok" Ari said, but she actually loved the little height of her date. "I'm like 5 feet tall you giant twat!" w0w that's kinda flirty "5'8" isn't giant!" The pair playfully argued for a few more minutes before they somehow ended up in park. "How the hell did we get here?" Ari said, looking around the mostly empty park. "I don't know, it's not that bad though" Angel smiled a bit, having to look up at her date. "Parks are ok, they're just usually full of bratty children" Ari joked, being a lot more chilled than her little playful fight. "Shit, look at the sunset!" Angel said, excited. Ari paused "You never told me why you moved here, Angel" She asked, sitting down on a park bench. "Oh, well I moved over here to get away from my family. They've never been the opened minded or welcoming people. And when they found out I was queer.....it went real bad from there" Angel explained. "Hey, don't get caught up in the memories. They're not here, they won't hurt you" Ari said, knowing she's gone through something similar.
