CHAPTER 6

Emma's POV

I wake up feeling extremely tired and groggy

I yawn and check my phone.
There is one unread message.

It is Julienne's number chills run down my body.
I open the message with shaky fingers.

Daughter dearest like a good father I found you a fair groom. I wish you to marry him as soon as you can. I will tell you more about him when we meet tomorrow.

What ?

He found me a groom ? But I am engaged with Ian.

My phone vibrated again. It was my driver's number.

Daughter dearest, I heard you are sick. You better get well soon. Your groom is anxious. He wants me to tell you his name. Mateo. He wants you to be ready to be his wife or the king of Denmark dies as you watch.

Death threat to Ian ? I always knew I wasn't good for him .
This can't be happening.
No not now .

I quickly delete the message . My heart goes wild . I try to calm down my nerves holding on tightly to the pillows and clutching my chest .

Oh god not now please . Not now . I pray as Ian's comes rushing followed by the doctor and Maggie instead of Matilda.

How will I live without him ?

I ask myself as I cry in pain. My throat closing up , my chest tightening. I feel a mask around my nose .

Another injection puncturing my veins. Ian holding my other hand, letting the doctor do his job.
He rubbed my hand in slow comforting circles.

"Your highness, the fever hasn't gotten down. We need to sedate her Majesty yet again ."

He nods .

"No! " I screamed with all my might . I need the time to think , I can't be sedated now , I will be meeting them tomorrow. Oh my god !

No one cared for my opinions.
I was sedated once again. Screaming and crying.

IAN'S POV

Emma is getting worse by minutes.
My team told me about the two other messages she recently received.

This was all Alarick's doing. He got that lunatic rapist out of the mad house. He was threatening Emma with my life to get his dumb, half wit son to marry my love .

Neil arrived to the castle minutes after Emma was sedated. He wanted her to wake up before a full body check up.

Kate was furious with Emma after I told them everything.

Twins had already left New York with dad to come see Emma.

We were just waiting for Emma to wake up.

I think it's high time she comes out clean.

EMMA'S POV

I sat up again with an urge to vomit. I did vomit a little . I felt a bit bloated in my stomach too. Maybe I was going to have my periods.

It then sunk in.
The date.

My periods, I have not had them for two months. Shit.

I get the pregnancy test kit from the drawers and wait for the results to appear.

Two minutes later.....

I sob in the toilet. I am going to be a mom. I am not ready for this. I took all my shots. This can't happen I think looking at the three test results.
