> Scott's POV <
We were all packing up our things from the hotel. This was the last show of the North American tour and I was upset yet relieved. Tour is fun and all, but sometimes I just want to sit and relax at home, scrolling on tumblr with Wyatt sleeping next to me... I get kinda homesick when on tour, but when I have my friends with me, they help me calm down.
Avi was carrying his bag, Kevin's bag and Mitch's bag out to the bus. I, however, was still packing in my room, along with Kirstie. I had a couple shirts left to pack up. Kirstie was obviously struggling to close her suitcase after she threw in her last pair of jeans.
"Here, let me help you with that," I say, moving Kirstie back a bit so i'm standing in front of her suitcase.
"Who said I needed any help?" Kirstie replied, sitting on the bed next to her suitcase.
"From the grunts to the frustrated huffs... I guessed," I said pulling the zipper halfway around the bag, using up most of my energy.
"Us females have our necessities and this bag obviously can't handle them," she said, patting the top of it.
"I'm not going to argue with that, remembering the size of Esther's suitcase," I finally pull the zipper to the end and pull her suitcase off of her bed. As she jumps off the bed, I head back to my bag, throw in my 3 remaining shirts and zip it up.
"Thanks for muscle, Scott," she leads the way out the door into the living room where Mitch is sitting on the couch on his phone, Avi and Kevin are engrossed in a conversation, and Esther is talking on the phone. It sounds like a professional conversation, but stuff like this is usual.
Avi sees us with our suitcases and leaves his conversation to assist Kirstie and I with our bags.
"I'll be taking these, you guys can relax," Avi grabs our suitcase handles and moves towards the door. I flop down on the couch next to Mitch and pull out my phone and open the Twitter app. My feed is usually full with Pentatonix fans, considering that one time I followed a bunch for them voting for me. I favorite a couple tweets and scroll through my feed.
"Okay, time to leave the building, our room is being moved into and we have to get to the stage for sound check and a quick rehearsal so let's go," Esther, our tour manager and Avi's sister, opens the door while motioning for us to hurry out. I stand up, Mitch in front of me and Kirstie following behind. Kevin leads in the front, practicing his beat boxing, he normally does this when he is nervous or excited for a concert.
We all crowd into an elevator, Avi still downstairs at the bus. We all, except Esther, exit the hotel and load into our tour bus.
"Wow, last show for our North American tour!" Mitch says wiggling in his seat.
"It seems like we were at our first show still, this went by too fast," Kevin comments, sitting next to me on the tour bus couch.
"Hopefully, this last one will be a breeze! I just want to get home and see Wyatt. I mean, yeah, we skyped a bit but I still miss him," I say, thinking of my little Wyatt, sitting at home with his baby sitter. We all settled down and were either on our phones or talking to one another. Esther finally entered the bus and our bus driver, Jenevieve, started up the engine and pulled out of the parking lot.
I opened twitter and see that they're live tweeting and tweeting selfies of them in the concert already or driving there. I favorite a bunch and reply to some mentions, and by the time I'm done, we pulled up to the place. We all file out of the bus and excitedly enter the building.
"Sooo... Scott, are you ready for our last show?" Mitch asks me with a smirk across his face.
"Very," I replied, looking at him with a small smile of excitement.
"I'm really excited because I heard that this town are the best to perform for," Mitch says, bouncing on his feet.
"Who did you hear from, yourself?" I say, knowing that Mitch is from Texas and that is where we are for our last show.
"Maybe..." he says, with a small giggle afterward. I laugh in return. I walk over to Esther and get my in-ears, placing them in both ears. I stand over with Mitch and Kevin.
"Are you ready for this?" Kevin asks, Kirstie approaching us along with Avi.
"Here we go," Mitch says, walking into place on the stage.
-after the show-
"Ya'll are amazing, I love you, Dallas!" I say, walking back to where Esther and our other crew members where standing.
"Oh my God, that was amazing, wasn't it?" Kirstie exclaims, high fiving Esther.
"It sure was, but now it's time for the fans with backstage passes," Esther directs us to the room to meet up with them. We walk into the back room where the fans are, a group of girls talking to each other. They were so engaged in their conversation that they barely noticed us walking in.
"Hey girls, we're Pentatonix!" Avi says in his deep voice, startling the girls. There were a bunch of low screams as they looked our way, except for one girl. The girl was wearing a shirt that said: "Skylar Loves Scott" in blue letters. She had nice brown hair that reached below her shoulders and eyes that sparkled like the color of an oak tree, a nice dark brown. Her smile was spread across her face. I just couldn't stop staring at her... beauty.
"Scott, did you hear me?" Esther said, tapping my shoulder.
"Sorry, what did you say?" I said, looking away from Skylar.
"I said, we're going to sit over here so you can sign their stuff and talk to them," Esther rolls her eyes and walks over to sit next to Kirstie. I sit on the end next to Mitch.
"Hi, could you sign this for me, please?" Skylar walks towards me with a CD of PTX Vol. II.
"Yeah s-sure," I stutter, grabbing the sharpie and pull of the cap. I stuttered...Why did I stutter? I don't think I like her... We just met and she's probably way younger than me, i'm probably just not thinking straight... I sign my name on the top and pass it back to her. When I passed it back, our fingers touched and I felt a jolt of electricity shoot up my arm and into the middle of my chest, but it didn't hurt.
"Uhh, I wanted t-to says that I, uh, love you and you're my favorite," she said nervously.
"Aww, thanks, I love you, too," I say in the calmest tone. She walks over to Mitch and I sign more CD cases, but none of the other girls were like Skylar. Skylar had something special. When it was over, I talked to Mitch alone.
"Hey dude, do you remember that Skylar girl?" I ask him, my heart skipping a beat when I say her name.
"Yeah, she had a shirt I thought you would like," Mitch giggled.
"Well, I think I might like her, but I'm n--" Mitch interrupts me mid sentence.
"I saw the way you were looking at her and the way you sounded. Trust me, you like her," Mitch says. I nod my head and he walks over to Kirstie. Maybe Mitch is right... Maybe I do like her.
