It's been two weeks now, two weeks since Emma came home. It's gotten better, Mom has finally started to drink coffee to get her mind off of that liquor we hid from her, Dad is actually home for more than an hour a day, and the awkwardness around the house has some what lessened. People still stare and whisper as Emma walks down a hall but she's gotten used to it, we haven't had a problem with Robin since that first day she'll usually just watch us walk by and stay silent. When she's out of sight me and Andi just laugh about it.
Right now Emma, Tony, Zack and Emery were washing Zack's truck, Cory was in his room, and I was on my bed finally deleting the 'Find Emma' webpage.
Knock knock.
"Who is it?"
The door opened and there stood Cory with a big smile on his face, "I found the stash."
"What stash?"
"The Christmas stash!" He whispered and rushed to my bed handing me the big box wrapped in Little Mermaid wrapping paper, confused I shook my head at him.
"Cory you know we haven't celebrated Christmas for years."
"But that was because Emma left, she's back now maybe mum and dad wanna start celebrating again."
I sighed, "Cory it's only May they wouldn't start shopping now."
"But maybe..." Emma burst through the door cutting him off, her hair was dripping wet and her grin was hard to miss.
"Guys come out side I was just double teamed in a water balloon fight I need...oh wow Jenna you're just now opening that I sent that like two weeks ago." She said and I froze.
"What are you talking about Emma?"
She motioned to the box, "I sent that two weeks ago for your birthday, I know because Breanna gave me that Little Mermaid wrapping paper."
"Emma I never got this, Cory just found this."
"That's impossible Dad said...." she stopped.
My eyes darted to hers, "Emma what did you just say?"
"Nothing."
"Emma tell me."
"I've talked to dad over the past years."
My heart stopped, "No that can't be possible he would have told us that he knew you were okay he would have gave us these presents. Wouldn't he?"
"He said he would give you guys the presents but that you guys didn't wanna talk to me and every time I called the house phone he was the one to answer." Her words hit me in the face like a punch.
"Emma we don't have a house phone anymore we got rid of it after we couldn't handle all the reporter calls. We got rid of it three months after you left."
Her eyes widened, "That can't be possible I call every holiday and when it's you guys' birthday, but it's either you're out or don't wanna talk to me."
"Emma if you called I'd talk to you" my mind was racing with different explanations but I looked at Cory, "Where did you find this box?"
"In the attic."
I glanced at Emma and she followed me up the stairs to the attic, "Where?"
"In that big blue trunk over there." He said and I ran to it, there sitting in the trunk where at least twenty different presents. Each one either had my name or Cory's, but what caught me was the tag 'from: Emma'.
"Emma these are all from you."
"I remember all of these" she went through the trunk naming each things that was in each box pulling out a small rectangle, "I sent this on that first Christmas, it's for you Jenna."
