Luke's Pov

I looked up at the clock. Wow, it's past 1 am. Ever since Emily left the party, I've just been sitting on the couch, not talking to anyone, and surprise, not drinking water.

Emily left about four or five hours ago and I would be lying if I said I wasn't worried.

I mean sure I was beyond pissed, but the fact that she walked home that makes me a little scared.

As I think about something happening, I immediately got up from the couch and darted towards the front door.

When I reached my car, I quickly got in and took off.

****

As I neared the house, I couldn't help but notice all the lights. When the house came in view my body started to stiffen as I saw all the ambulance and police cars.

When I finally reached the house, I parked my car and got out as fast as I could. I looked around at all the people here and finally spotted my mom.

I made my way over to her to see her standing there with a terrified expression on her face.

"Mom, what happened?" I asked worriedly.

Her head snapped towards me, and she immediately engulfed me in a bone-crushing hug.

"It's Emily," my mom whimpered, making me furrow my eyebrows and pull away from her.

"What about her?" I asked, annoyed.

"She overdosed Luke. Her mom found her in her bathroom laying on the floor with a bottle of pills in her hand," my mom said as I tear escaped her eyes.

Emily's mom suddenly appeared next to me, and her eyes were bloodshot.

"What did they say?" My mom asked as she looked at Emily's mom.

"They said that if we would have gotten to her too late, she would have never made it. The ambulance truck she was in already left. They said that they had to get her to the hospital immediately to pump her stomach," she said as the tears she tried gathering up the one's that were streaming down her face.

Suddenly both of them turned towards me.

"D-Did a-anything happen a-at the party?" Emily's mom chocked out.

"Not that I know of," I lied, and she just gave me a small smile.

"Thank you for dropping her off, though. I would have never forgiven myself if she had to walk, and something way worse happened," she said as she gave me a hug, which I gladly returned.

Wait!!! Did she just thank me for dropping her off? Didn't she walk home?

Did Emily tell her mom that I actually dropped her off? Why would she do that?

All my thoughts were suddenly interrupted when a woman walked up to us with a cameraman following her.

"Katie Jones here, and we are here with the mother of Emily Tyler. So tell us, Mrs. Tyler, why do you think that your daughter would try and commit suicide?" This Katie woman asked.

Emily's mom looked pissed. "Get that fucking camera out of my face," she snapped and pushed past everyone and entered the house with me and my mom following close behind.
