Now this is the part of the story/
In all it's mess, and all it's glory/
Where the girl that had once been broken/
Speaks the words that were unspoken/
What once had been, and what seemed like would forever be/
Every silence, tear, and every little between/
She was in a spiral of despair, for so damn long/
But then she found, out of nowhere, a song/
This song wasn't like anything else she had heard/
She heard it so clear, the words never slurred/
It made her feel safe, and laugh, and it had green eyes/
It seemed to take away all the doubt and the lies/
That she had thought to herself, over and over/
So she opened up and allowed the friendly takeover/
She had found this song, so authentic and true/
And she knew the song could feel it too/
Like everything was right, and fell into place/
And there was no more need to run and chase/
She let the song consume her, like the stars in the night/
Because for once in her life, she had finally found her light/
All because of this song, that she had found/
Which would live inside her, even after she was buried and in the ground/
What once was dead, was now alive/
And now she was living, not existing to survive/
In the end, this girl, that once broken mess/
Obtained happiness she can't even express/
So she writes her last poem, of her sad book/
In hopes to start a new one, with a whole different outlook/
And so here she goes my friends, she finally grew her wings/
Because of the song, with green eyes, that made her believe in things
