First Day

Beep..Beeep.Beep..
I wake up to the sound of the alarm groaning not wanting to get up and then there's a knock on my bedroom door.
"Amber Wake Up it's your first day at your new school time to get ready " my mother shouts from behind my door.
I roll out of bed sliding on my slippers grabbing my phone, playing music, heading to my bathroom to shower. After my shower I brushed my teeth and got dress then continued to go downstairs to meet my mom in the kitchen for breakfast. When I see what she made I start to groan.
"Oatmeal again ma really "
She says. " Well if you don't like it don't eat it"
I walk past her grabbing an apple and proceeds to the door grabbing my book bag and car keys heading out the door to school.
Once I got to school I headed into the crowded hallway looking for the admissions office.
Once I found the office I walked up to the lady at the desk,
"Excuse me Miss I'm new here I was told I'm supposed to get my schedule here " as I continued talking to the lady at the desk I felt like someone was watching me and I look over my shoulder to see a student staring at me and I quickly look away grabbing my schedule leaving to find my first class. I soon then find my first class which is Math  I find a seat in the front pulling out my math notebook putting in my headphones to listen to Panic! At The Disco when someone taps my shoulder and I turn to him  and he holds out his hand saying,
"Hi I'm Tommy White you must be new Welcome to Castle Wood High"
I reach out and shake his hand "Hey my name is Amber Martin and yeah I'm new here do you think you can help me find my class " he nods smiling as class starts. The day went on as normal and now it was lunch time, me and Tommy sat in the back when two guys walked over to the table and Tommy says, "Hey Blane Hey Matt this is Amber she's new here " Blane smiles and waves and they continue talking to Tommy. I pull out my sketch book and starts to draw till lunch is over. I lose track of Tommy and I look for my chemistry class getting to class late having to sit next to Tommy's friend Matt. I look over at Matt and I say,
"Hey I'm guessing I'm your new lad partner then, How do you know Tommy ?"
"Him and my best friend Blane are really close" I nod trying to ignore the awkward silence between us, we remain silent for the rest of class exchanging glances. The rest of school was boring I had only one class with Tommy.
When I got home I got a text from a unknown number.
Unknown: Hey what's up
Amber: Hi who is this
Unknown: Oh it's Tommy White from Math
Amber: Oh Hey Tommy
Tommy: I was wondering do you have plans this weekend???
Amber: No why what's up
Tommy: My friend Blane parents are away and he's throwing a party wanna come??
Amber: I don't really do parties
Tommy: Come on come it'll give you a chance to meet new people at school I promise you'll have so much fun
Amber: You promise
Tommy: I promise
Amber: Fine I'll go but I don't have anything to wear
Tommy: That won't be a problem, we can go shopping on Friday after school
Amber: okay that sounds great I'll see you tomorrow
Tommy: See to tomorrow
