"Good morning class!"

The teacher greeted leaving us an expression whether it is really a good morning or not. It’s dreadful that she’s here again but now in a different subject. I sighed for an expectation of relief somewhere in the middle of the school year. It is an awful boring 3-hour class in Chemistry and it will hurt our butts so much. Plus there’s her nonsense talks and far from topic chats where she always relates her life as a young teenager. Sometimes, for worse is her family’s personal problems that we were always irritated to. She must not be here for Chemistry because she fits exactly for Values Education or indeed, to become a reality talk show host.

“Here she is again.”

Niall tried to mutter but I heard it aloud although this was supposed to be inaudible. I’m afraid that he could be heard and this scandal will spear me right away.

“Hey, shut up.”

I replied inaudibly so we won’t get noticed.

“What? Does she sound like a lullaby to you?”

“Apparently, Niall, you’re getting on my nerves.”

“Ok. Ok. Fine.”

He chuckled.

“If you don’t care ending up in the office, well please, do care for me. I don’t want to make at least a 3-letter-word mess in my folder.”

He leaned on to my shoulders and whispered.

“I guess you’re the one making up the noise.”

Trying not to make a noise again, I just shut up. I want to slap him in the face for humiliating me in a good way. As well as slap him again for reversing everything ending up in which I am the fault. For the sake of my clean name, I let my ego pass.

The way he talked partially ensembles Paulo. And that what keeps me still attracted to him although he’s so annoying. I used to admire this guy before Paulo because he’s gentle. But there had been a lot of instances which made me forget him somehow. And as a normal school girl, I may switch and switch feelings from one guy to another. This has been a mental hobby for me.

Just few minutes after our inaudible war, he leaned again to me and whispered to my ears. It gave me goose bumps for this sudden move.

“Well, about the request that I should care for you, that will be fine.”

It took seconds before I got what he meant.

“Did I just really say that?”

I tried to pretend but I know this won’t effect.

“Yes. And don’t you say no.”

“Okay. That would be fine with me too. But I promise you I will do things that won’t make you care for me.”

“Oh, that’s a threat?”

I take a hard time to respond to him because my eyes were all into Mrs. Oropesa. I am guarding our gestures so we won’t make a scene here. But I can’t take all what he’s saying for it seems that I am being defeated just because I can’t answer properly. This time I turned my head facing his.

“Don’t play with me.”

I don’t think he’s intimidated but instead he made a stronger and challenging face. Somehow, it frightened me since I don’t know what to say.
