The guard closed the gate where we entered.
“This is not a clinic, Paulo.”
I stopped for a while because it was not the expected place where we had to go. As to what I feel, this is probably Paulo’s house.
“Isn’t it obvious?”
He answered me irritated. I feel like I’m an idiot following him around the entrance of the house that was like a maze because of its grand terrain.
“Is this really your house?”
I asked him while my eyes are roaming intently through the impressive mirror works which are keenly fixed on the walls. They are elegantly decorated there to capture the eyes of the guests. Well, it actually captivated me because my eyes can’t get off of them.
“Isn’t it obvious? Do I have to repeat this again and again?”
He stopped from walking and looked at me behind.
“Ok. I’ll shut up.”
I got his lowly tempered glance at me so I stopped asking if this was really their house.
I tried not to ask anymore but my curiosity can’t be kept off.
“Paulo, I can shut up for the whole day if you’re going to explain to me what’s happening here and what the hell are we doing here?”
He was supposed to answer me but as we enter the grandiose living room, an old woman welcomed us and Paulo just disappeared in sight.
“Ah, you can sit, hija.”
She invited me to sit down and tried to fix up the throw pillows which are slightly messed over the fluffy sofa.
“Thank you. But you don’t need to do that. I’ll just do it.”
I smiled at her because I can feel her very warm welcoming for me unlike the way Paulo has gone doing to me since he grabbed me inside his car.
“Oh, please, wait for me and I’ll give some drinks.”
She calmly told me as if I am going to leave as soon as she turned her back to me. But I didn’t take any granted opposition for this so I just said thank you and let her go.
“Yes, thank you. Please, don’t worry yourself.”
I tried to hide my empowering thirst in my body. I was so drained when Paulo took me recklessly in the car. I was ranting back then for my thighs and knees but he kept quiet as if no one’s sitting at the backseat. I really can’t get his mood. Sometimes he’s good, sometimes stupid. Now, I question myself why I have to get obsessed with this guy who obviously is taking me for granted.
After my anguishing thoughts, just the exact time when the old lady gave me the juice full of ice which made me mouth water for more. While, I cannot really say she is a maid in the mansion because just like what I normally know for them is that they are in uniform. And she’s not.
She was about to leave when she took back herself and told me something.
“Oh! I almost forgot, Totoy wants you to come up stairs and see for the glass door where you are supposed to go to.”
