Zak POV
I'm waiting for Nick and Aaron to get here so we can head off to our next location. Jess is a week away from being 9 months pregnant and I hate that I have to leave her. "Zak, I really hate that you are leaving. I wish you were going to be close just in case." Jess says walking out of the bedroom with me. "I know baby. After this investigation, I will be home for a couple months. Hopefully, little man will hold off until daddy gets home." I say as I rub her baby bump. "I love hearing you say things like that." I smile down at her, before softly kissing her lips. I hear a horn honk as I pull away. "I'll walk you out." Jess says with a smile. As we walk out, Nick and Aaron get out of the car to hug Jess. "We will keep our phone on the whole time. You call any of us if you need anything." Nick tells her before him and Aaron get in the car. "I'll call and check in on you every now and then. I love you." "I love you too." Jess says as I get in the car. "Let's roll boys."

Jess POV
After Zak left, I went back in the house and headed into the nursery. My baby shower was last weekend and I'm still in the process of getting everything organized. I've washed all of baby boy's clothes and now I'm getting everything out in the closet and drawers. This is the first time I've actually been in this house alone since I moved in. Having Gracie here is kind of comforting but she keeps looking down the hall and barking. I know that she sees something, but I haven't seen or felt anything out of the ordinary, so I haven't mentioned anything to Zak. With him being gone, and Gracie acting weird, my friend, Tara, is coming to stay with me while Zak is away. Hopefully she will be here soon.

I just finished putting everything in the nursery away, and there is a knock at the door. "Hey girl! How was your trip?" I ask Tara when I open the door. "It wasn't bad. The cab driver I just had, really needs a shower." She says giving me a hug. "I think your belly has gotten bigger since last weekend." She says pulling back from the hug. "I know. This little guy is ready to make his big entrance." I tell Tara with a laugh. I show Tara the guest room, so she can put her bags down, and then we head to the kitchen for some lunch. After spending all this time surrounded by men, I'm in desperate need of some girl time.

I wake up at 4am to some horrible stomach pains. I get out of bed and start walking around, hoping that will make the pain subside. I'm in the kitchen getting a glass of water, when I get a shooting pain and I feel a gush of water run down my legs and hit the floor. "Tara!" I yell as loud as I can. I hear her footsteps running down the hall before I see her run into the kitchen. "What's wrong?!" "My water broke. My hospital bag and the baby's bag is in the crib. My keys to the Tahoe are by the front door. Help me get in the car and I'll call Zak." I say as calmly as possible as she begins to run around and gather everything up. The last thing I was expecting, was to go into labor the first night Zak is away. There is no way he will make it in time.

Zak POV
I'm woken up at 5am to someone beating on my hotel room door. "What?" I answer angrily until I see the look on Nick's face. "Have you checked your phone? Jess has been trying to get ahold of you." He says. "What's going on?" "Her water broke. The baby is coming. We are only 4 hours away. If we hurry, hopefully we can get you there before he is born." All three is us are loading things faster than we ever have before. We get in the car, and I call Jess to let her know I'm on my way. "Please hurry baby." Jess says between breathing. "I'm trying baby. I'll be there as soon as I can. You can do this. I love you." "I love you too." I hang up the phone and try to settle in for the longest 4 hour ride of my life.

When I finally arrive at the hospital, I run to the room that Jess told me she was in. When I walk in, I see Jess sitting in the bed holding our son. Tara excuses herself to go out in the waiting room with Nick and Aaron. "I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry I missed this." I tell Jess as I walk to the bed. "The only thing that matters, is that you're here now. Do you want to hold your son?" She asks smiling up at me. I nod and she hands me the baby. I sit on the bed next to Jess, and we both look down at our son. "You know, he still needs a name." Jess says kissing my shoulder. "What name do you have in mind?" "Lincoln Andrew." "Lincoln Andrew Bagans. I love it, and I love you." I miss Jess softly as we both squeeze in the bed. I cradle Lincoln to my chest and we all take a quick nap before everyone comes in to visit.
