Laying the last of the contact paper down over the mirror, Stacy smoothed it out with a wooden spatula that she had picked up. She sighed and rubbed at her forehead with the back of her hand as she eyed it. "I'm hoping this will work," she said. Brandy nodded as she cleaned up the scraps of contact paper, shoving it all into trash bags.

"It should. Killy said that the ritual was created for such purposes. It was one of the ones written by the Brahan Seer," Brandy said.

"Who?" Stacy asked as she finished smoothing out the contact paper, looking at Brandy with a frown on his lips. She sat back down on her heels.

"The Brahan Seer was in the employee of the third Earl of Seaforth. He was the one who told the Lady of the land at the time that her husband was fucking around on her so she had him killed by fire," she said, smiling softly. "Unfortunately for her, all of his predictions did come true and she learned that she had killed the only person on her side. His line though had picked up and moved off, leaving behind that history. That was Miranda's grandmother's side of the family, her and Killy both direct descendants of that family line. They lost his name a long time ago, not wanting to be found. He's only called 'Seer' in the old stories and journals."

Stacy hummed and smiled at her history buff of a friend with a huff. "Only you would be so interested in a family history not your own. Are you sure you don't want to help me write the book of my family history?" she asked teasingly.

"I can. But only if I get a byline along with you and half of the profit," Brandy chirped. Stacy chuckled.

"Deal. I'll talk with my cousin about the contract laws we need to know," Stacy said, the two shaking hands and Brandy standing up. "Can you get the girls and Kill? We need them to help us lay this thing in the circle and make sure that it lines up properly." Brandy smirked as she stood and went to hunt down the group. She easily found Miranda and Kily working through the basement, shifting things around for Stacy and putting the boxes of family things to the side.

With the two found, she found Marilyn soon after, finding her in her room with headphones on and working on her thesis. Allendra and Kendra were both found in the living room, watching some kind of documentary and taking notes. With everyone found, they gathered in Stacy's office and moved the mirror over to the circle that had been laid out on some more contact paper by Killy herself. Once they were that they had it properly aligned with the markings, Stacy closed the two doorways, making sure that she locked them down firmly, also locking them into place with the floor and door locks. Miranda closed the blinds and curtains on each of the windows.

"Okay, so girls, we need to settle down around the mirror and relax. Trust me in not to let anything hurt you and keep your eyes closed during this ritual," Killy instructed. Each of the girls took their own seat on their mark around the circle. Killy knelt down next to the top of the mirror and arranged her supplies in their own circles in a careful order. She double checked to make sure that she had enough of everything.

Looking over each of the women as she smiled, she found that each of her eyes closed and they were relaxed. With that assured, she started the ritual with lighting the incense cone that she had created just for the ritual. Letting it burn in it's own small dish, she started to chant, the words smooth and practiced.

She smoothly moved through each step, ignoring the feeling of anger that was slowly growing around the mirror, the women also ignoring it as they focused on staying relaxed. As she chanted, she placed a crystal to rest on top of the mirror, Miranda placing another crystal at the bottom of it. She ignored the scream of anger and broke dried herbs into another fireproof bowl.

Four more herbs were added along with a small bit of bark, Killy never stopping her chant as the mirror started to vibrate. The growling coming from it made the girls shift a bit, but still keep their eyes shut. They made her proud of their strength in resisting temptation to open their eyes to see just what was going on. Striking a match, she lit the mixture in the bowl on fire, watching it burn neon green even as she chanted got softer and the growling stopped, instead the sound of pounding filling the air.

Ignoring the pounding, she carefully watched as the crystals pulsed.

She could feel the way the hairs on the back of her head raised as anger and hate started to emanate from the mirror. She could hear cracking, making her sneer at the mirror as the protective contact paper worked to keep the shards together. Killy watched as the crystals continued to pulse as she added more herbs and liquid to the neon green fire, the frame of the mirror seemingly starting to twist and change. She could see the hidden marks coming up to the front.

They could all hear the words that were being screamed, the feminine voice filled with outrage and pain, Kendra blushing darkly at some of the curses but keeping her eyes firmly shut. Killy just ignored the complaining and continued to chant, intent on cleansing the mirror no matter what would happen.

The woman who had attached herself to the mirror had long ago lost herself to the anger and hate she felt. She had allowed it to get the best of her, crushing the love that she had once held. Killy had no doubt that if they could find her real journal, which she was very intent on finding since she could feel it in the house, they would find out just what had happened to her. They would find out what had turned her to become a creature.

She continued the chant, getting louder again as Killy picked up a vial filled with a thick oil, standing over the mirror and uncorking it. She smirked at the woman that she could barely see through the contact paper on the mirror and poured the oil over the mirror in a special rune, watching as it glowed, burning away the contact paper and leaving behind a burnt in rune on the mirror.

The screech that came from the mirror was loud enough that the women all covered their eyes, wincing even as they kept their eyes shut. Killy breathed out a silent sigh of relief out as the two crystals cracked just the way that they were supposed to. She finished the chant, cleansed the power from the air and wiped the runes from the frame. "Alright, girls, you can open your eyes now," she said as she knelt down to examine the frame.

To her eyes it looked as if the hidden runes had been shifted and changed into the proper leave and flowers that was the motif of the frame. Nodding, she smiled as Stacy leant over to look at the frame, the woman staring at it with wide eyes.

"Wow. Aunty always did say that it never felt like it had been finished."

"That's because with the way this witch built it, it wasn't truly finished. Not at the time at least. Now that his anger and hatred had been cleansed out of it, and he's been forgiven, he was able to come back for a single second to finish the mirror properly," Killy said. Miranda groaned and stood up, stretching out with a few pops.

"I'm just glad that we're done with it. How long did this take anyways?" she asked. She looked over to the clock that sat on Stacy's desk. "Huh. Only a couple of hours. It really did feel like minutes," she mused.

Killy smiled as Brandy slowly stood, wobbling on her feet before heading off to find food and her blood sugar test kit. "Will she be okay?" she asked, watching the younger woman leave the room.

Kendra nodded with a smile on her lips. "For all that she's on the healthy side, she does have some issues with dropping blood sugar. It's been a few hours since she had something to eat, which can be a bad thing if she's not careful with that. She'll most likely have some of the leftover pizza, some fruit, and a twinkie just to be on the safe side, but she'll be fine," she promised.

Killy nodded her head. "Good. Now, the mirror itself will need to be buried come summer for a couple of years, but for now we can put it into that box that your uncle was nice enough to make, Stacy," she said as she pointed to the mirror. "The frame can now be used. I suggest that you just turn it into a frame for a painting instead of mirror frame though."

Stacy smiled as she knelt down next to it with Allendra, flipping the mirror over with her help after moving the crystals. "I think I know what it needs. Don't worry about it. I'll talk to my sister about it since she's the artistic one. I'm just really good at building things and decorating rooms," she said. She already knew what to do with the frame and knew it was going to be the perfect thing to do.
