I bury my head in the pillow deeper trying to ignore the ear-breaking sound coming from my alarm clock. I sigh with joy as the noise quietens. You know maybe luck is on my si-

EEK EEK EEK EEK

I have to admit, if I could kill alarms I would be serving time in prison for many homicides.

I open my eyes, blinking and trying to adjust to the sunlight as I slide off my bed, before falling face first on the floor drowning in my blanket. I groan in pain, trying to get back up before my feet decide to give up on me again and make my way to my bathroom. I look up into the mirror. I see a pale white complexion with a bush of brown hair formed into a bun of some sort, with tendrils of hair falling out wildly. I blow on one loose hair that ended up near my nose, instead of ending up spitting up my nose and going into a coughing fit.

Great morning.

Finishing off my morning routine and putting on some clothes I leave the bathroom, only to be hit with the familiar smell of ground coffee. I sigh, why can't it be bacon instead?

Because your dear sister is vegetarian

I walk downstairs to see mum, dad and Amie laughing and sitting around the table. Their laughter quietens down as they see the blank look on my face.

They look so happy. It's ok, you've accepted that you don't belong here.

I give a tight lipped smile at there guilty faces before grabbing an apple from the counter as well as my bag.

I slip on my flip-flops and whisper a faint 'bye' before closing the door. Putting the apple between my teeth I get my skateboard and plug my earphones in my iPhone. I go through my music, clicking through songs aimlessly, until deciding to put it on shuffle play. I feel the breeze hit my face as I skate down the road.

You might be wondering what happened with my parents and sister. Well, we used to be close. Really close. Mum and I used to go out on Sunday movie nights every week and dad, Amie and I went fishing together every month. Mum would refuse to go every time, saying she couldn't stand the sight of a living worm being hooked on to the fishing rope.

"My stomach can't handle it" she had said

Amie and I were best friends. I never could have wished for a better sister. We did everything together. I lightly chuckle as I remember her being the protective older sister. She was my lifesaver. I would have got into so much shit if she hadn't of dragged me from parties while I was dead beat drunk. Or if she didn't stop me from hooking up from guys that I knew I would regret hooking up with in the morning. Sure she was sometimes a pussy blocker but she meant well. I mean she was my sister. My best friend and my other half. So what went wrong? I guess life happened. Now Amelia is just someone else I've lost.

I take out my earphones, deciding I have experienced enough nostalgia for one day. Looking up I face a crooked B and A U L K A M.

Suddenly a squeak erupts through the school followed by our daily useless announcements and the faint background sound of Single Ladies.

Welcome to Baulkam Hills Highschool.

QOTD: Favourite Beyoncé song?

I personally just cannot choose, but to be mainstream I'm just going to say Crazy in Love.
