I wandered around a new land for a while, looking for shelter and food and chance I could get. I'm only a goblin so I have to be careful, these lands can be very treacherous to small folk. Anyway let me introduce myself, I am Faru, the lost prince of a little goblin town name Garlend. Long has it been empty, I have no plans on returning there although, I do admit I have abit of home sickness. I am also around about 3 foot tall so I'm not really the biggest creature out there. I am bald with big pointy ears but mostly I keep my hood up and cape wrapped around me so noone would want to talk to me.

After the war that tore apart my home I left to search for food and shelter or maybe even a place to settle in. I managed to walk into a huge swamp with black tree's surrounded by dark leaves. Evil Pixies fluttered around the tree's although they were more like over grown pixies. I wandered through and into a small secluded part of the swamp and dunked my hand in the mucky waters and felt around for any fish. Instead I found some leechs but I was hungry and they did look quite big. I shoved them all in my mouth and munched on them, their gooey insides squishing and swirling in my mouth as I crushed their quite hard teeth. I washed off my gloves lightly and continued walking after eating the leechs.

I didnt plan on stopping in this swamp but, as I was about to cross over to a quite nice looking forest, a quite large woman landed from the sky infront of me. She was covered in black leaves and vines making up her clothing and her skin was like that of a person who had recently died. Pale and cold. Two viney wings stretched from her back and she looked at me with quite a wicked smile. "Are you lost young sir?" She spoke with a sweet but mischievous tone to her. She must've thought I was human with my hood up.

I nodded to her slightly and spoke quite quickly "Yes, I'm just looking for shelter and food. I mean no harm" I kept my eyes to the ground at this point. Just incase she was one of those witchs that curse you with their appearance and make you fall in love with them. Only mushy humans fall for that one.

She looked at me and tilted her head and spoke as she did before "You can stay here if you like, the bright forest over there isn't really that nice. Just go over there. To the inn."

I looked where she pointed and there was a large cave with a big door and a sign that said "The Poisoned Toad" I nodded to the woman who had already disappeared from my sight and I walked across the mud, which pulsated with weird ooze, I arrived at the door and started to push it open...
