First Real Conversation

-Ashlynn's Pov-

By the time I got home I was both drenched and freezing. I had hoped that I wouldn't have to do laundry for a couple of days, but I wasn't just going to leave my wet clothes laying around so I would have to do a load tonight. After I put my stuff in my room, I decided I was going to take a nice warm bath. I would unpack after, when I didn't feel like I went for a swim fully clothed.

-Clara's Pov-

My tears still hadn't stop falling before I finally got home. I just knew I looked like a complete mess and I really hoped that Ashlynn wasn't home because I had no interest facing anyone looking like someone dragged me through every puddle on the way from the restaurant to here. But unfortunately luck wasn't on my side because her black converse were sitting on the mat. From the look of her shoes she tracked home in the pouring rain for a pretty good amount of time just like I had. There was also a trail of water that lead from the front door to her room. Just after taking off my wet coat I heard Ashlynn's door open, she came out of her room wearing a plain black tank top, really short black shorts and black fuzzy slippers. Her long black hair was tied up in a messy bun, to be honest she was very pretty. "Hey you okay?" she asks me snapping me out of my daze. "Oh um yeah, why wouldn't I be?" I reply before taking of my wet shoes. "Well for starters your eyes are all puffy, so I assumed you were crying." she answers. "What does it matter to you if I was?!" I snap, sadness turning to anger. "Sorry I asked" she snaps back. I instantly felt bad, it wasn't Ashylnn's fault Peter turned out to be a jerk. "Sorry, I just had a really shitty dinner date with this guy." I answer, scathing the back of my neck. "Its cool, you wanna talk about it?" She asks me before sitting on the couch. "Not really no." I tell her. "Okay its cool, maybe you should get out for those wet clothes though, and clean all the make up that's running down your face?" She added. "Yeah, I guess you're right" I say before heading to my room to have a shower.

-Ashlynn's Pov-

After the shower I put on my favourite pj's, which are a plain black tank top, really short black shorts and black fuzzy slippers. I am putting my long black hair up in a messy bun when I hear the front door open then close again. Clara must be home, I thought to myself before cleaning up my stuff and leaving my room. Clara is standing in the hallway when I step out of my room, looking like a complete mess. Her skirt and blouse were absolutely drenched and her curly red hair was soaked and sticking to her face. Her make up was running down her face and her eyes were red and puffy, it looked as if she'd been crying for a while now.

"Hey you okay?" I ask her, after a second she snaps out of her daze and says "oh um yeah, why wouldn't I be?" "Well for starters your eyes are all puffy, so I assumed you were crying" I answer. "What does it matter to you if I was?!" She snaps at me. "Sorry I asked" I spat back. Judging by her expression she instantly felt bad after snapping at me. "Sorry, I just had a really shitty dinner date with this guy." She apologizes, scathing the back of her neck. "Its cool, you wanna talk about it?" I ask before plopping down on the couch. "Not really no." She tells me. "Okay its cool, maybe you should get out for those wet clothes though, and clean all the make up that's running down your face?" I add, trying not to sound to mean. "Yeah, I guess you're right" She tells me before heading to her bedroom.

I honestly felt bad for my room mate, she had been dressed as if she was going on a date. Looking at her clothes and face a minute ago proved something had gone wrong, like really wrong. But I didn't really know this girl so I decided that I would just leave her alone and not pry, because the last thing I needed was for the girl I lived with to hate me. After sitting in silence thinking for a while, I decided I would go watch Netflix. I had a lot of Supernatural to watch.
