Percy and Annabeth were walking hand in hand through Central Park. Snow blanketed the ground and trees, sleigh bells jingled as horse-drawn carriages paraded through the paths. A perfect afternoon for a romantic walk. They talked about the camp; Annabeth had gotten an Iris message from Chiron that there would be a Christmas dinner at Camp Half-Blood for all demigods and their families. Percy told her that this could be his last Christmas as an only child. Sally was rapidly nearing her due date, December 27th, and everyone was excited about the arrival of Percy's new sibling.

"Has she slipped up on the gender yet?" Annabeth asked excitedly.

"No, she's been very careful to use genderfluid pronouns and gender-neutral colors and clothes. She's not gonna give it up easily."

"Ughh I just wanna know so bad!" Annabeth kicked a low hanging branch and snow flew off of it.

Percy laughed, "I wanna know too. I spent a week searching for the envelope with gender in it, but my mom found out what I was looking for and burnt it right in front of me."

"What do you want it to be?" Annabeth asked, even though she could already guess the answer.

"I want a baby sister. I want her to know I'll always be there to protect her and play with her, and that no guy will ever be good enough for her."

"She's gonna grow up someday Seaweed Brain, and when she does she'll discover love and want to find someone. You can't be her hero for the rest of her life."

"Shhh, I don't wanna think about that. She's my baby sister, I have to protect her always."

Annabeth smiled. She loved when Percy got defensive over his sibling, though they weren't even born yet. It made her excited for their future together, maybe they would get married and have a few kids of their own if they lived that long with all the monster attacks.

They walked until their feet were numb from the cold. They headed into a little coffee shop to warm up. Annabeth grabbed a table while Percy went up to order drinks. The girl waiting to take his order looked familiar, but Percy couldn't place it. When she asked for a name on the order her eyes got wide.

"Percy? Like, perc-gf-918, from that one forum?" She asked way too loud.

Percy's heart skipped a beat. "No, uh, I don't know what you're talking about."

"You look just like them though! It's like you two are twins."

"I, uh, it's just," he dropped his voice to a near whisper, "my girlfriend is over there and she doesn't know. No one knows."

"Oh okay. So you are them right! That's so cool I love reading your posts!" Evidently, this chick doesn't understand anything I just said, he thought. "Shhh be quiet! None of my family or friends know so I need you to stop talking about this right now!"

He walked away and sat down next to Annabeth, trying to steady his pounding heart.

"What's wrong babe, you look like you've seen a ghost." She joked though that could've actually happened in their world.

"Oh what, um, nothing." Annabeth looked over at the counter and saw the barista staring at him, and she instantly got mad.

"Um, do you know the girl at the counter?"

"Nope, but she thought she knew me from, school." She studied his face and saw that he was holding something back, but decided to let it slide. A few minutes later, the girl brought over their drinks, two hot chocolates, and walked away without saying anything to Percy about the website.
