Annabeth figured out where Percy was going to be based on her google findings. She had stumbled across the same page, took Paul's car and drove out there. She called Percy on the way to see where he was at, discovering he was already at the shop, waiting nearby in the shadows. Annabeth shut her lights off as she got close, driving slow and as quiet as possible. She could see a figure in an alley and parked in there, praying to gods it was Percy.
Percy knocked on the window and she stepped out, giving him a quick kiss. "Jeez your breath is pretty rank."
"No shit Princess i've been on the streets the past few days. C'mon, we need to get Harper back."
Annabeth pulled out two little mirrors for them, and they snuck up to the building. All of the lights were off as Percy quietly picked the lock. The door silently opened, and they crept in. Shoulder to shoulder, weapons drawn, they canvased the room, trying to find where Medusa could be keeping Harper.
Then there was a thud, and the sound of electricity powering up something that hasn't been used in a while. A single light bulb flicked on and there was Harper, sleeping in a bassinet, surrounded by snakes. This is where Percy started doubting their relation, there is no way he'd be sleeping if he was surrounded by a bunch of diamondbacks. Percy gazed at his helpless baby sister, feeling his heart crumble into a thousand pieces.
Annabeth put a hand on his arm and he noticed a tear escaping his eye. Just as he started to move towards the bassinet, a voice cracked over a loudspeaker that sent chills down his spine. Shit was much worse than he originally had thought.
