Chapter 10: Date!?

Kathryn's POV

It's been about an 2 hours since the game and I am currently walking around the school wondering where all my friends were when a frantic and nervous looking Ben came running up to me. "There you are, Kat. I have been looking everywhere for you." He tells me once he catches his breath.

"You found me!" I say smiling up at him. "What can little old me do for you?" I ask with a little chuckle.

"I was, uh, maybe, just wondering, if by any chance you would, maybe I don't know like t go on a date with me tonight?" Ben asks me sputtering out of nervousness.

"Oh, uh sure?" I tell him but it came out as more of a question because I have never been on a date before.

Ben breaks out into a huge grin and his eyes light up, "Great! I'll swing by your dorm and pick you up later tonight. Bye Kat!" He tells me really quickly before he runs away.

It's been about 15 minutes since Ben has asks me out and I can't find Evie anywhere, I was beginning to completely freak out. I was nearing the lunch tables when I see Doug talking to a very happy looking Evie. 'Cute.'

"Evie I need your help." I say running up to her and stopping her mid sentence.

"Whats wrong?" Evie asks looking over at me worriedly.

"Ben asked me out. On a date." I tell her nervously.

"Nice." Doug speaks up.

"We can handle this. Bye." Evie says waving at Doug as she pulls me away.

"Bye." Doug shouts before he is completely out of site.

~ Dorm Room ~

"Okay. Easy on the blush." I tell Evie as she puts even more blush on my face. "I don't want to scare him away. Not that I could anyway." I mutter thinking about the only reason Ben asked me on this date was because he was under a love spell.

"Please. My mom taught me how to apply blush before I could talk. Always use upward strokes." Evie tells me as she applies upward strokes on my cheeks with the blush.

"My dad didn't know anything about makeup especially since he was a cat most of the time. And I've never had a sister." I say looking down.

"Yeah but now you have us." Evie smiles at me as she motions to her and Mal who is sitting on my bed as she watches Evie get me ready for my date.

"We're going to need all the family and friends we can get if we don't pull this off. My mother's no a barrel of laughs when she doesn't get her way. Just ask Snow White." Evie tells us.

"Are you two afraid of your moms?" I ask them.

"Sometimes." Mal tells me, thinking about her mom, Maleficent.

"Are you afraid of your dad?" Evie asks me.

"It's not so much as being afraid, I just really hate disappointing him. He hates it when I'm not as crazy or as insane as he would like me to be. He also just really misses Wonderland. I just want him to pay attention to me every once and awhile. You know?" I tell them.

"Moving on." Mal says standing up and changing the depressing topic of our parents.

"Are we done? Can I look?" I ask Evie hopefully, tired of sitting down in this chair for about the last hour.

"Yeah." Evie says pulling me up and standing me in front of the mirror.

"Wow." I say smiling at the girl in the mirror.
