chapter 1: the abuse becomes very bad

Maddie pov:

I woke up in my room that I share with my sister Mackenzie and I looked over at her. She was still sleeping so I got up and walked over to my walk in closet. I picked out a plain black tank top with some sparkles on it and my black leggings. Then I walked over to my sisters closet and picked out her plain dark gray tank top and some black leggings for her to wear because she loves when I pick out her outfits for her. She woke up shortly after and saw that I already changed. She said "hey maddie, can you hand me the outfit you picked out for me today?" I nodded and passed it to her then turned around to start on my makeup while she changed. I decided to go with natural makeup today for dance. Since I'm old enough to drive I got my own car and our mom drives her car to the studio.

Mackenzie came back later and asked me to do her makeup and she said for me to surprise her. for eye shadow I picked out a really pretty glittery peach color, for blush I picked out a soft pink, for highlight I picked a light peach, for lips I picked a nude peach liquid lipstick. Then she did the rest of it and hugged me. As we were about to start our homeschooling our mom screamed "YOU 2 BRATS BETTER GET OUT HERE AND DO YOUR CHORES RIGHT NOW!" I sighed and we walked out of our room and started cleaning. Then we did our schoolwork. Then my sister and I got in our car and drove to abby's studio.

Mackenzie pov:

We walked in and Abby said "hi girls, why are you crying?" I said "because Abby, our mom is so abusive to us, she calls us brats, tears our nice clothes to pieces, she tears our school stuff up, beats us up if we don't do what we are told, locks us in our room with out food, says we are the worst kids in the world, she says we should just die, she says she doesn't want to be here every god damn day, says we should be doing school instead of dance, cuts us with a knife, bruises us by punching and kicking us, and the worst one yet is she hurt us so bad one time that we had to go to hospital because we almost died and she said she would have been happy if we were dead."

Abby was confused for a second then said "everyone please comfort the girls I'll be right back." We heard her go outside because our mom had just arrived and all we heard was "HOW FUCKING DARE YOU DO THAT TO YOUR OWN CHILDREN MELISSA, THEY ARE JUST KIDS, IM CALLING THE POLICE ON YOUR ASS." We heard Abby say "hello police, I have a problem, its called an abusive mother that goes by the name of Melissa ziegler, she keeps trying kill her kids please come also I would like to adopt the girls maddie and mackenzie please, thank you!" We were happy because our mom was finally going to jail for the rest of her life. What we didn't know was that the producer was filming the entire thing for the episode.

Abby came back in and said "girls you get to live with me now, we will go get your stuff after class." Then we started filming the pyramid. Abby said "on the bottom of the pyramid is: lilliana, camryn, nia, peyton and chloe." Then she did the rest of the pyramid. After some arguing about the pyramid placements everyone finally calmed down so Abby could speak again.

After that Abby said "this week we are going to starboard dance competition." "There will be 4 solos, 3 duets, 3 trios and the group dance." We were all excited to find out who got what out of everything. Abby said "the solos go to maddie, mackenzie, jojo, and lilliana. Maddie your solo is called beautiful, mackenzie your solo is called sink or swim, jojo your solo is called prom queen, and lilliana your solo is called don't be afraid of the dark." Then Abby told us the duets "the duets go to maddie and mackenzie, lilliana and jojo, and brynn and peytan. Maddie and mackenzie your duet is called run from mother, lilliana and jojo your duet is called fan favorite, and brynn and peytan your duet is called 2 sapphires." Then she said the trios. "the trios go to: maddie, mackenzie and chloe, brynn, Maesi and lilliana, and jojo, kendall and kalani. Maddie, mackenzie, chloe your trio is called naughty, brynn, Maesi, lilliana your trio is called little miss high and mighty, and jojo, kendall, kalani your trio is called the shadows of the night." Then abby said the group dance "this week we are performing a musical theatre dance that requires you to sing, the dance is called stick it to the man." "The teacher will be played by James, summer will be played by maddie, billy will be played by luca, Zack will be played by Brandon, tomika will be played by nia, katie will be played by chloe, Marcy will be played by mackenzie, sophia will be played by peyton, sadie will be played by lilliana, freddie will be played by devyn, mason will be played by ethan, etc."

We were all excited and ready to practice. My sister maddie practiced her solo first. She began doing the moves when Abby said "make sure your legs are straight and your feet are pointed when you leap." Maddie made the corrections and did everything perfect. After rehearsals we drove back to our house to pack our things. What we didn't know was that Abby lived in a huge mansion with like 100 floors and a million of every room. So we called four moving trucks and they pulled up in front of the house. We started in the living room. We took the flat screen TV down and handed it to the workers, then we moved the couch and everything else. We then went into our room and took out every suit case in the house to pack our stuff into. I got half of the suit cases and maddie got the other half. I went to my closet and took out all of my clothes and put it in the suitcases. Then I put my makeup, phone charger, photos, dance stuff, bows, old dance costumes, guns, knifes, dog food, our dogs food and water bowls, her toys, her outfits, food, etc. Once we were all packed we got in our car and followed abby's car and the moving trucks to her house.

Maddie pov:

We practiced for a while then Abby yelled "mackenzie point your feet when you are doing that leap." She nodded and made the correction. Then kenzie and I practiced our duet. We started laying on top of eachother then right after we stand up we hold hands and do two front aerials. Then run in a circle and leap into middle splits, then a press hand stand, etc. We finally finished all of the dances and just practiced making them perfect. After filming the day we drove to our house to find like 4 moving trucks there. Plus abby's car was there. Kenzie and I first took the TV down and gave it to the moving people.

Time skip to after they moved everything to abby's house

We finally got to Abby's house and when we got out of the car I said "wow Abby none of us knew that you lived in a mansion, we all thought you lived in the studio!" Abby laughed and said "I do live in the studio, but only when we film." We nodded and went inside to set everything up. After that we went into our new room. We walked through the double doors and it was huge.

I said to my sister "holy shit, this room is huge." She said "I agree!" We walked back to the first floor and hugged Abby. She said "whoa, why did you....?" We shrugged and said "because." Then set up everything else before going to bed.
