Ch. 8: Death

(I've been in my room for three days haven't eaten anything just drank the water Adam would leave for me; he tried to apologize but I never say anything nor moved. Adam opened the door)

"Melanie you have to eat something or you'll starve" Adam said.

(I looked up at him, I felt empty and weak but I didn't care)

"Let me die" I said.

(I heard him sigh and slam the door and I heard him closed the front door. I closed my eyes and drifted off to sleep)

"Melanie wake up we have to go" a voice said.

(I groaned)

"Mel come on we have to hurry" the voice said.

(I opened my eyes and saw Abby and I got up)

"How did you find me; how did you get here" I asked.

"We don't have time your brother is waiting for us outside, now come on" Abby said.

(I was confused but I got up put on some pants and shoes; we rushed down stairs to see Adam holding his gun up "fuck" I thought)

"You were planning to leave me like the other's I believed you when you said you would give me a chance you lied" Adam said.

(Abby and I froze)

"Adam put the gun down we can talk about this just please put it down" I said.

"No it's too late" Adam said.

(Everything happened so fast; Abby reached for something in her pocket and Adam shot his gun, next thing I know Abby is on the floor cradling her chest)

"Nooo" I screamed.

(I fell to the floor and held her)

"No, no Abby you can't die, you can't leave me here alone" I cried.

"Be strong Mel you can get through this" Abby said.

(I watched her as she died in my arms; I looked at Adam)

"You psycho" I yelled.

(He didn't say anything just grabbed me by my arm roughly and threw me over his shoulder and threw me in my room and locked the door; I cried and hoped my brother is still alive. Hours later I got off the floor and got on the bed)

"She's gone she's really gone" I said.

(I laid down and cried; I cried with all I had left in me until I couldn't cry anymore and then I passed out)
