What if you find your soulmate (Considering you believe in soulmates), then after you fall deeply in love, your soulmate dies?

You mourn for a while, take a break from everything; you eventually find love in someone else, not as strong as the love you had for your soulmate, but still strong enough. You end up marrying this person, having children and growing old together, right?

Theoretically, soulmates always reunite in the afterlife, whether that be Heaven, reincarnation, the passing into another relm/universe, or wherever else.

So, do you just ditch your spouse so you can finally be truly happy with your long lost soulmate? Or do you stay away from your soulmate and "live" a sad afterlife, knowing you could've had your soulmate by your side, but didn't want your lover to be alone knowing you were the only love of their life?

What will happen to one of them when you choose the other?

If you do choose to leave to be with your soulmate what will your children think when they eventually join you in said afterlife? And what will your soulmate think of you having moved on and married someone else and had children?

Please comment what you think, I'm completely torn.
