The next morning we woke up to a loud sound coming from outside. I told Taylor to stay in the house while I went to check out what it was. She didn't listen and then followed me out. I looked around and found nothing. It was probably a plane flying really low. We went back inside and looked for something to eat. Luckily it was full of food. We each found something to eat. After we ate, we left the house to go walking around. We walked around for a few hours talking and looking to see if we could find anyone. After walking around a while, we saw something that looked like a person. We walked over to it to realize it was a German soldier. He turned around and pointed his gun at us. I had left my gun at the house. He spoke English and told us to follow him. We did. He took us to a tent that had a couple more soldiers in it. They pushed us in there and started interrogating us. They kept asking us questions we did not know. They kept asking us were the military base was, but we had no clue. After asking questions, they took us to a building and locked us up in a room and told us to expect torture later. We were both very scared. We sat in the corner of the room holding each other praying they would let us go. After sitting in the room for a little while, we heard someone coming. We stood up and waited for the door to open. As soon as it did, the soldier told us to come with him. He took us to a table and told us to sit. Another soldier came to us and asked the same question. I eventually asked why they needed to know. They said they were going to plan an attack on it. We still said we had no clue. The he grabbed my arm and put it on the table. He pulled out a hammer and started breaking my fingers. I could see Taylor starting to freak out. After they broke all my fingers on my left hand, they finally took us back to the room for the night. They brought us food, but we didn't eat it. The room was completely empty. We lay down on the floor and tried to go to sleep, but couldn't. I was still in so much pain from my broken fingers. They had at least wrapped them up though. It was still a very long night.
