Sisterly Love

Chapter One:

You know how volcanoes can sit there for years and years just keeping to them selfs and then one day the pressure gets too much and they explode and make a mess everywhere. Well that's sort of what happened to Alaska Jones. And I'm here to tell you all about it.
Alaska was always known to be a very well behaved kid and as some people may say, a bit of a nerd. She was 16 years old. She had light, straight, brown hair and green eyes. She never really had many friends or even any at all. Apart from her younger sister, Brooklyn Jones (or for short Brook). Who was 14 years old and had dark, wavy, blonde hair and green eyes. When they were younger they did everything together; they'd play hide and seek, board games, baking, etc. They even shared a bedroom. They were pretty inseparable or so it seemed.
Their life's were amazing apart from not having many friends but, they were both okay with that because they had each other .
Until one day, their dad came home from work and sat them both down on the chairs at the dining room table.
"So, me and your mum have been talking about this for a while and we've decided that it'd be the best decision for our family"
"What do you mean?" Alaska asked confused
"Well" continued the dad "I got another job offer in California and before you both freak out, hear me out a second. I'm gonna get paid double the amount I do now, we'll be moving into a bigger house and you can both finally have your own bedrooms. And we're a 5 minute drive from the beach!"
"I hate the beach and I hate that idea!" Brook shouts running out of the room and up the stairs.
"I have to agree with her on the beach part but, I'm open to the idea of moving away. And I'm sure Brook will be too, just give her some time to take it all in" Alaska says trying to reassure her parents
"I'll go talk to her now, I might be able to bring her round to the idea"
"Thank you, Alaska" says her mum.
But what they didn't know was that, that decision would change their family's life forever.
