Jordan's POV

Great. A summer to spend with my dad. Whom left my mom and I when I was in 8th grade. He stopped writing and sending birthday gifts by the time I was a sophomore (Only last year).

"Mom. Do I have to go?" I whined.

"Yes, sweetie he is excited to see you." She replied while layering on the makeup.

"Mom, want me to do it? I mean you don't want to look like an old barbie doll."

"Will you? I want to look nice.....not like an old barbie doll." She laughed.

My mom looked like a hundred bucks. "Mom you look great!"

"Thank you sweetheart, I'm really going to miss you."

"Me too." I hugged her. "But on a more serious note there aren't any bimbos right?" I laughed.

"He didn't mention anything. Just a summer for you two."

When I hauled all my bags in the car, I was debating on bringing my glove or not. It was old. The last one my dad sent in the mail. That would be freshman year.

*Flashback*

"HoneyYou have mail!!"

"Okay mom be down in a minute!"

Who would be sending me mail? My birthday wasn't for another 4 months and Christmas isn't for another 3 months. When I got downstairs I still had no idea of who it could be.

I opened the package.

Jord-

Good job on varsity, only freshman eh? I'm so proud of you. Maybe I could come down to one of your games? That would be nice. Well I hope you enjoy the glove.

                                                      - Dad

P.S. Kick some ass!

*End of Flashback*

Not one time did he say he missed me or he loved me. Ugh why are there horrible parents in the world? More like horrible Dads.

"Jordie we are leaving."

"Okay." I grabbed my glove and tossed it in the backseat.

After one of the worst car rides ever we were in Florida.

"We made it." she cheered.

"Yay" I grunted.

"Jordie, make it a good summer for God's sake you are in Florida! The nice weather!"

"Tennessee had nice weather too."

"C'mon your dad gave us an address to a restaurant."

I texted Zayn, my best friend that we were here.

Glad you are. xx

I miss you, maybe you can drive down here for a week, maybe the whole summer?? xx

Sorry beautiful wish I could, but I got work xx

okay well I have to go bye love you xx.

Zayn was my best friend since 8th grade. He played baseball, and football. And happens to be gay.

"Well look at that, not here." I grumbled.

"Jordie don't be like that!"

"Whatever want me yo redo your make up?"

"I'm fine it still looks fine."

"At least get changed out of those clothes you have worn for like the past few days!!"

"Oh that sounds better, be right back."

She came back in with a nice pair of flats and a casual dress. She also brought a bag of stuff.

"Let's go to the bathroom." I suggested.

"Good idea."

A re-did her makeup and brushed her long blonde hair.

"Okay now you look great, go out there find him I'll go to the car and put this stuff in there." Before she could respond I ran out of the bathroom with everything my mom had brought in.

I got to our car, and tossed the bag in the backseat. I wondered what my dad would look like.

Zayn!! I can't do this.

Jordan you are the strongest girl I have ever met and if you get sad worried or anything think of me and how much I love you. xx

Oh how much I love this kid.

As I walked back in the restaraunt I shoved my phone in my purse.

I spotted my mom sitting at a table. I slid in the booth next to her.

"He isn't here yet?" I questioned.

"No he said that he might not be able to make it."

"Greatt." I scoffed.

"He said that we could get take out and we would eat at his house."

"Okay, but would he even have a kitchen table?"

"Ha-ha Jordan Rose." She raised her voice.

I kept quiet.

We ordered 3 fries and my mom and dad got burgers.

When we pulled up to my dad's house I was in complete shock.
