You ran and ran. Your tears blocked your vision and you completely wiped out from tripping on a small tree that had fallen. You landed on the ground in pain. You hear someone running towards you too. You look at your knee thats cut and bleeding. You try to stand but your too weak and tired to. You wiped your tears and just laid there helplessly. Suddenly, someone tripped oer the same tree you did landed right on top of you. You were shocked and still tired to see who it was. Then they lifted their head and it was Max.
Your eyes widened and you pushed him off you. "What do you want?" You held back tears. Max sighed. "I know we've never talked. And I'm sorry about what happened. I just haven't been in the best mood and a new camper didn't help. When I was talking with David, I was asking if we were getting any new campers anytime soon cuz this new camper is getting me more anxious then I need to be.. And when Nikki came to ask me I didn't know what to say. I didn't mean that stuff. I'm so sorry.. " you saw his eyes start to tear up and you just starred at him. "Y/n, I know you probably won't believe this because I'm a total jerk that literally no one likes but.. I-I...." He sighed "I have a crush on you.." Your eyes widened as your face turned red. You wiped more tears that were coming. By now your eyeliner was a complete mess. You didn't know what to say. You were shocked. You just hugged him. You felt Max hug back a few moments later. You buried your face in his hoodie and started to cry. He hugged you tight. In between sobs you said "I'm- so sorry" he hugged you tighter and said "I know.. I forgive you" you felt a few tears on your shoulder. You both hugged each other tight. "D-don't listen to what I said.. I don't want you dead.. I'm so sorry" he was full on crying at this point. " i-.... Ok... I won't" you two cried more.
The thing is, you've actually considered suicide before. So when you heard that Someone wanted you to die it gave you more of a reason to want to die. You didn't care who it was that said it, but it hurt. You starting sobbing even more. He held you close. Neither of you two breaking the hug. Until he pulled away and looked at you. He laughed slightly at your completely smudged eyeliner. You laughed a bit too. Yours and his eyes were red from crying so much. He held you close and didn't let go. He laid down on te grass with you on top of him. You both fell asleep hugging each other.
About an hour later. Nikki and David were walkig through the forest lookin for you and Max. They've been looking for a long Time. Until they saw you and Max sleeping and hugging each other. They started whispering and Max heard and opened his eyes "shit" was all he said. David came over and lifted y/n off of Max. He stood up an looked at David holding y/n who was still sleeping. They brought you back to your tent and placed you in your bed. You slept for a long time. Meanwhile, Max was siting on his bed jus thinking about stuff.. Then he decided to let y/n sleep peacefully. So he left the tent.
He wandered around thinking about what he said to y/n before and he still felt terrible. He had to make it up to her somehow. But words can't be erased. He didn't know what to do... But he kept thinking anyways..
