Crush

Isnt it funny how you can smile and laugh at the

Simple things?

Like a crush.

Its totally laughable because you

Know you most likely have zero chance with them.

Its not so easy to face that fact.

You get feelings of maybe a zoo

Stampeding in the pit of your stomach and you start to smile

Like an idiot when they do something cute without even realizing it.

They are completely oblivious to all of it.

Every little thing you do for them is just brushed off.

That little piece of your broken heart will always

Have a sliver of hope to it.

A crush can make you do some stupid things just to get

A bit of attention other than a conversation here and there.

It gets worse when you realize you fell head over heels

With one of your closest friends.

The one who has been there to dry your tears

When his best friend took your heart and turned

It into dust.

When you see him, it hurts deep into your soul

And theres absolutely nothing you can do about it.

That crush will eat you alive.

Thats the type of crush that can strike you with lightning

And you'll still some how come back thinking

That something different will happen.

Your own self doubt will get in the way

By the time you get the courage to ask him

If he wants to go to prom,

Or if he even likes you back.

Isnt it funny how a crush can turn your world around and make you

Want to give love a second chance?
