Mel's Pov.

The moment I stepped out of Miss Oak's office with Am, Em and Nicky we all burst into fits of screams as we jumped around hugging each other. This is what we have been waiting for for the last 7 years to get a chance at these scholarships!

We ran past classrooms as we made our way out of the main building and towards the car park. I saw my mum Sharyn talking to Nicky's mum Anne.

"Mum!!!!!!!" I screamed as I ran up to her and crushed her in a bear hug, "You knew all along didn't you?" I asked grinning up at her.

She chuckled to herslef nodding as we got into the car, i waved goodbye to the other's as we rounded a corner and were out of sight.

I turned around to face the back of the car where my 12 year old brother Matt or Matthew sat, his eyes were glues to our mum's phone as he scrolled through his facebook. That kid and his Facebook!

I had to tell dad when I got home!

Nicky's Pov.

I watched as Mel ran up to her mum and hugged her giggling to myself I calmly walked up to my mum and hugged her too.

She smiled down at me saying, "You Excited Sweetie?"

"Definately!" I Giggled.

"Come on, let's go home so you can pack, you are going to be gone for 2 whole years!" I watched as my mum began to tear up.

My older brother Michael had moved out over 3 years ago and he was now 24 while me being at the young age of 14. My mother and I were very close. So now it would just be her and my Father Ray.

I climbed into the back seat of the car after waving goodbye to Mel as she left and then mum sped off down the road towards our house.

Am's Pov

I left a little while after Mel and Nicky as my mother Gayle was too busy talking to Julia Em's mum. It wasn't until after recess that we left.

The moment the recess bell went I was pulled into a hug by another one of my friends Aly who was in tears.

"I'm gonna (sob) miss you so much (sob) Ambie wambie (she got this nickname from Mel), you have to call and skype and Text me every day, PROMISE?" She choked out through her sobs.

"Yes I promise Aly, Please don't cry I won't be gone for that long!" I laughed as I hugged her.

"Pfft, yeah totally, because two years is like two minutes!" she growled at me.

"Aly, quit it with the mood swings your starting to remind me of Zach!" I laughed at her as she twisted her face in disgust as she hated Zach.

"No, I do not remind you of Zach and I never ever, ever, ever, ever will!" she exclaimed playfully punching me on the arm as she finally stopped crying.

I hugged her one last time before climbing into the car and leaving for my house.

Em's Pov.

I waved to each of my friends as they left one by one smiled to myself I whispered, "This is our fresh start to be whoever we want to be, whatever we want to be."

I then hopped into my mum's car and we left.
