Today is the day I've been waiting for forever . I was finally graduating high school and getting out of New York. Don't get me wrong I love my city , but I wanted more freedom from this town. Here I'm just Deja , Dutch's little sister. I've always kept good grades , never partied or even dated . I swear these niggas are terrified to even look at me . But in college I'll have my own identity .
My brother tried to hide his street life but I figured it out years ago. Our family moved like those mafia movies , security guards and all. My mother raised us in the projects after my father was killed. Before I could remember , Devin said we lived in a big ass house in Long Island but when daddy got killed momma loss everything . She couldn't keep up with the lifestyle that he afforded us when he was living so we ended up in East River Houses.
One day , Devin came to get me from middle school in a Benz. I was so confused , I didn't even know my 17 year old brother had a license. We pulled up to a big brownstone in Harlem and ever since that day I became Dutch's little sister.
