Learn to Love [LASHTON]

Taking care of you. Taking care of me. Taking care of everybody. That's the kind of person I would describe him to be. He's the kind of person to ask you how your day was, every single day. He's the kind of person to ask you 20 dozen times if you're ok if you're sick. I don't know about you, but he's the type of guy that I would definitely have as my best friend. 

Meet Ashton. He's my best friend. I'm really happy to call him my best friend. He just turned 22, just as of last week. Him and I do pretty much everything together. From going on trips to going to gigs together. Fun fact, that's where I met him. It was kind of interesting how it happened, but that's a story for another time. 

If anybody asked me, 'is there anything you don't like about your best friend?' to be honest I wouldn't be that friend that would say something like, 

'oh there's absolutely nothing I'd change about him or her, he or she is perfect the way they are!'

No, I wouldn't respond that way. Why? Because I'm not being honest. Yes there's something that I don't like about Ashton and I'm sure there are some things he doesn't like about me, too. 

The thing that I don't like about Ashton is that he can't love himself. I don't understand why he doesn't. What's not to love about him? I don't understand how a person can go from loving and caring about everybody else one moment, to hating everything about himself, the next. It's frustrating, I'm not going to lie. Watching somebody who loves so unconditionally, can be so cold and heartless towards himself. 

Whatever that reason is, I'm bound to find out. Because no one with a heart of an angel should hate on themselves with such negativity. No one who loves so strongly should degrade themselves to such a level that it affects their amazing personality. 

One day. Hopefully someday, I want to show people that loving other people also includes loving yourself. For that to happen, I'll work on one person at a time. Just pay attention my friends, and you too shall learn. Ready?
