It was getting to that time where the weather was cold and jumpers were being worn and festivity hung in the air. Yes it was nearly Christmas and in the dan and Phil household they've just finished putting up their final decorations after a lot of work and effort their apartment was finally feeling Christmassy.
"Hey Dan" Phil called from the kitchen as Dan finished putting some boxes away that contained the decorations.
"What?" He shouted back.
"You what we need after a long day work?"
"I dunno phil what do we need?" He asked walking into the kitchen where Phil stood holding something behind his back smiling.
"Hot chocolate" he said excitedly "and...." he went into the fridge "whipped cream"
"Phil Lester you're a genius" dan said.
Phil smiled widely as he got two cups and began to make the hot chocolate
"I'm gonna find a Christmas film to watch" dan said as he headed into the living room.
After a few minutes phil joined dan in the living room carrying two cups of hot chocolate with whipped cream he carefully placed them on the coffee table and sat on the sofa next to dan.
"so what film have we decided on?" He asked
"The nightmare before Christmas" he said smiling.
"Oooo yay" Phil replied as he reached for his hot chcolate and took a sip.
Dan watched Phil from the corner of his eye and couldn't help but smile as he took the cup away from his face to see whipped cream on his nose. Phil didn't notice dan looking at him or the small smile that danced on his lips in fact dan looked at Phil quite a lot and he never noticed.
Dan hadn't realised how long he'd been staring until phil started talking to him.
"Are we watching this film or what?" He asked snapping dan out of his gaze.
"Oh um yea I just got lost in thought sorry" he said quickly reaching for the remote pressing play.
His smile grew wider as phil took another sip and the whipped cream on his nose grew.
"Okay what are you looking at?" Phil asked dan.
"Oh it's just you have whipped cream on your nose" dan stifled a giggle but flushed slightly embarrassed he was caught looking.
Phil too flushed a rose pink and wiped his nose.
"Is it gone?" He asked dan
"No, here let me" dan said
He pulled his sleeves down slightly on his Christmas jumper and gently wiped phils nose clean of the whipped cream.
"There now it's gone" dan smiled returning his attention to the film.
Now phil was staring at dan and dan was the one who wasn't noticing the loving stare and small smile on his phils mouth.
