Chapter 2 - Life Again

= Chapter 2 - Life Again =

:: Aubrey's Point Of View ::

I slowly rolled over and woke up to the sound of slight beeping sounds that kept a steady beep.

I opened my eyes letting in light from the bright room I was in.

The room had white walls with some chairs, a TV, and a toilet with a curtain covering it. I gaged.

I laid in a bed and that's when I realized I was in a hospital. My stomach still hurt from the beaten.

Someone walked into the room. It looked like a doctor. He looked over at me, "Oh! Aubrey Carter! Your awake." the man said.

I nodded with a confused look on my face.

"I'm Dr. Brant and you were beaten up at school so we fixed you up and more." Dr. Brant said.

The door clicked open and someone burst through the door, it was Maggie.

"Yay! Your awake! No. I haven't been listening to everything through the door." Maggie said with a giggle. She then smiled and waved at me.

I waved back and after that the doctor told me I was ok to go but I need to be on bed rest for a few days.

Dr. Brant left the room and Maggie helped me get dressed then we left.

On our way back to home we stopped at taco bell and I got my usual, a Pepsi to drink and 4 soft taco supremes. I took it easy and when we arrived home Maggie helped me up to bed and put my favorite movie in for us to watch, it was The Notebook.

While watching it I happened to glance down at my arms and I noticed they were all stitched up. All my fresh self harm cuts were stitched. Pain still laid in my gut but other than that I was fine. I haven't even looked in a mirror yet.

"How are you feeling Aubrey?" Maggie asked while looking at me with a worried expression.

"Oh, better than ever." I said sarcastically and laughed. Maggie smiled and we went back to watching the movie.

I was sad I was alive. It sucked. My life sucked. Everything besides Maggie and her family sucked.

I felt bad for Maggie, little did she know what would happen tonight.......
