Mia pushed open the doors to the gymnasium like she did every day. Today though, it wasn't a normal day. As Mia put her book bag down on the bleachers, someone came up behind her and put their hands over her eyes.

"Guess who?" Brian asked.

"I know its the boogeyman's brother, Brian," Mia taunted her friend pulling his hands off her face. She turned around and looked around the gym in search of Diamond.

"Who are you looking for Mia?" Brian asked her casually, even though he had already guessed who it might be.

"Diamond," Mia said simply, finally spotting him. He was surrounded by a group of girls. Smiling, Diamond saw Mia and pushed past the girls to their side. As he came closer, Brian pulled Mia into his side. "Hey again Diamond," Mia greeted him, trying to get away from the claws that are Brian's nails.

"So, Mia, do you have a boyfriend?" Diamond asked, growling slightly in Brian's direction.

"She doesn't, but if you ever touch her ass again, or even touch her at all, you may be able to have girlfriends, but I'll make sure you won't be able to have kids," Brian said menacingly.

"Calm yourself man," Mia demanded, petting Brian's head. "Sorry about that Diamond. Don't worry though, Brian's harmless," Mia said, turning her back on the two, starting to walk to her stretching spot. "Well, are you two coming?"

The two boys shot glares at each other, their eyes fighting for dominance over each other. Damn, Diamond thought, What if this guy is Mia's chosen? That would be a huge problem for the investigation . If looks could kill, then Brian would sadly be dead. Suddenly, Diamond pulled Brian away from where Mia was going, just out of her earshot.

"Tell me the truth Brian, are you dating Mia?" Diamond asked with a serious expression on his face. In response, Brian burst out laughing.

"You think we're going out? She's like a sister to me dude. Plus, I don't swing that way, I would rather go for a piece of Diamond pie," Brian finished waggling his eyes suggestively.

"I don't 'swing that way'," Diamond said sighing, though he was glad that this teenager wasn't Mia's chosen, it seemed Mia was all alone. "Now lets get back to Mia before she suspects anything.

"Oh by the way, Mia is right, I am harmless," Brian began as they started to walk. "But my gun pointing at your crotch isn't." Brian then trotted off with a happy face hugging Mia protectively. I have my work cut out for me, Diamond thought as he started walking along with the others.

Mia, Brian, and Marcus walked into their English class for the third time today. Mr. Micheals was sitting upside down on his chair with his magician hat on. As soon as everyone from their class arrived, he stood up.

"Okay everyone gather in a circle. Just pass it around and read your card aloud so we know who has what so no one can switch," Mr. Micheals stated started to pass around the hat. As it turned around, there were some pretty fun things, one was just a pencil, another was a date with anyone of their choice, and another was a get out of class for any class of their choosing card. It soon came around to their side, and Brian picked a card. His was a yellow one.

"Free lunch for a week," he read.

Then it came Marcus's turn, "Come to your fabulous and awesome English teachers house to pick up some dog poo and get some dinner while your at it on Sunday night." His brown card read.

Finally, it was Mia's turn, she was excited, everyone had gotten a fairly decent card, so why shouldn't she? She picked the only purple card, her favorite color. "Five six hour Saturday detentions in a row..." it read.

Everyone groaned in sympathy for her.

"Sorry Mia, that was the only bad one I put in there, better luck next time," Mr. Micheals said frowning. "Sorry about your plans Mia."

And there it was, her low social life was put to an end as it was for the next five Saturdays.

Like I have a social life.... Mia thought snorting in her mind. She and her two friends walked out of the classroom and proceeded to leave the school. Brian and Marcus trying to comfort her, but she said it was fine, and she didn't have anything to do, so she might as well have detention anyway. Mia walked over to Brian's car, getting in slowly. Mia turned her head looking for a set of eyes, but she didn't see anyone in the almost empty parking lot. I could have sworn someone was looking at me.... Mia thought still looking around, as Marcus's hands dragged her into the backseat.

Mia could have sworn she felt eyes on her for the rest of the night, as if she was being followed. Ha, yeah right, that detention has somehow made me paranoid. Let me just get some sleep and everything will be better tomorrow, or not,
