"Eomma," Jungkook says from the top of the stairs, slowly walking down.
"Yes?" A sweet voice calls up.
"I'm having a friend come over today, so...could you maybe make us some snacks?"
"Sure, I'll leave them on the counter. Who is it, Taehyung? Jimin?" She asks, simply curious.
"Oh..." Jungkook hesitates. "No, none of the guys." He's downstairs by now.
"Who then? Do you have a new friend?" She asks, coming around the corner.
"Her name is Ava."
"Ava? That's a pretty name."
"She's from America."
"How do you talk to her, you can't speak English very well bunny."
He grimaces at the nickname his mother has continued to call him since childhood. "She knows Korean. She's really smart and she's a guitar student. She's really unique..."
"Well that's nice. Do you two have a project to work on?" She asks, beginning to make a few snacks.
"Oh, no. Just want to hang out is all..."
"Do you like her?" She asks simply.
"Umm...Yeah?"
"Well just make sure to be a good boy, Jungkook," she smiles over at him. "I know you will be."
"Thanks Eomma," Jungkook smiles. "She'll be here soon."
"Alright, I have to be somewhere later, but I'll be here for the start."
Jungkook nods and goes up to his room to clean a few things. He throws boxers in the laundry basket and covers them with a few shirts. He makes his bed and organizes his desk and a few things that have gotten moved around. He checks his phone periodically, making sure Ava's still on time and not lost or anything. Soon, the doorbell rings. He flies down the stairs at unhuman speed and rips the door open.
"Hi!" Ava says, startled by how he almost ripped the door off it's hinges. He takes a few quick breaths and then lets her in.
"Hi," he adds. "Thanks for coming over."
"Thanks for inviting me. Nice place," Ava turns her head.
"Thank you," Jungkook's eomma smiles as she comes into view. Ava bows politely.
"Nice to meet you, Mrs. Jeon?"
"Yes, that's me. Pleased to meet you Ava."
"Thank you," she smiles, looking up at Jungkook. She realizes how tall he actually is. For someone with such a childish face and expression sometimes, he really is quite mature at the same time. And Ava also notes how hot he looks at this angle, to be perfectly honest.
"Want to go upstairs? I have something cool to show you," Jungkook says.
"Sure. Nice meeting you again," Ava says to Mrs. Jeon and then follows Jungkook up. She looks at the pictures on the wall. "Do you have a brother?"
"Yeah," Jungkook nods. "My hyung is in college though."
"That's cool. Do you see him much?"
"Sometimes, he's busy though. I don't blame him for staying there, studies are important to him."
"Nice," Ava nods, following Jungkook into his room. There's a bed against the wall with an outlet for his phone. His dresser has a few knick knacks on it and random papers. His desk is relatively clean and so is his open closet. For the most part, it looks pretty plain, but it suits Jungkook.
