I woke up the feeling as if I were falling and then to a hard jolt as I realized we where landing. I let out a breath I hadn't realized I was holding and since the twin towers being blow up I wasn't exactly thrilled we would be flying let alone to New York. I slowly stood up to stretch my legs and arms after the plane landed.

It looked to be about sunrise when I looked out the plain window. You could see the soft peach color's rising slowly and painting the horizon line. I felt someone put their hand on my shoulder and give it a soft squeeze. I looked up to see Nathan; an older male about twenty four, who had been with her threw a lot of her training since he was one of the best fighters. I nodded and picked up her bag and coat and followed him off the plain. We all walked over to the baggage lane like zombies. None of us spoke but we all seemed to have the same idea when we saw the star bucks at the exit of the air port.

I was holding my coffee close to me chest as I walked up to the sleek black Jeep he had picked out for me at the rental agency. The weather was cold and I could honestly say I would never live here. I put my coffee in the cup holder before I slung my bag into the back and jumped in the driver’s seat. I hastily started the jeep and cranked the heat on. Suddenly I could hear my father’s voice in my head talking to all of us as we each entered separated cars.

"Everybody follow me and try to keep up." His voice sounded tired even in my head.

In single file order we all pulled out after him one at a time me bringing up the rear. I turned on the radio for some back ground noise and picked my cup up drinking it slowly. Driving was much better than flying.

Two hours later we pulled up to a hidden driveway out in the country. I followed the rest of the group down the drive way and when we finally stopped the jeep what I saw before me was the most beautiful house I had ever seen. It was like the Adams family house but without so much dirt. It was a dark purple on the outside and had black iron window frames and the tall sharp pointes on the roof. I just sat there looking at it taking it in. Suddenly the front door opened and a man walked out.

He was wearing black pants with black leather boots and a he had a grey button up on underneath his leather jacket. My father stepped out of his car and the two men greeted each other with a hand shake and exchanged words. Mean while I'm sitting in my jeep clutching the steering wheel, hearing it groan under the pressure of my fingers and sit there and realized shit just got complicated.

My father turned to us who remained in our cars and gave a nod letting us know to get out. I was the last to get out of my car and I slowly shut my door. A girl who looked around my age if not a little older came out of the house with a big grin on her face. I suddenly realized she was looking at me and then I caught the big guy who was talking to my father looking at me out of the corner of my eye. I wanted to turn to him and really get a good look at him but I just froze as I watched this blonde girl come up to me still smiling like this was the best day of her life.

“Hi! I'm Tara, Nicholas’s sister." She said in a warm voice as she stuck out her hand to shake mine. I took her hand and shook it.

“Hello. I'm Catherine. Alpha Richards daughter." I said with a small smile.

"We'll let's get your stuff and I will show you to your room. I for one have been excited to meet you. Another Alpha daughter" she said smiling as she helped me grab the two bags I packed.

“I’m glad to already see someone who his welcoming us. Although the circumstances are pretty shitty." I said with a small nod as we walked into the house.

Father and Nicholas must have went off somewhere to go talk about the missing girls.

“Yeah this is a shitty situation." I heard Tara say as she lead me up the stairs to the second floor.

We walked down a hallway that was painted a warm cream color and the doors black and black iron light fixtures set into the ceiling. She led me to the last room at the end of the hall. She pushed open the door and behind it the walls where painted a deep purple color and the bed was covered in dark silk purple comforter. Numerous pillows where stacked onto the bed mostly deceptive and across from the bed was a fire place that looked like it had need painted black with purple designs painted on it. The dresser was black and there was a small metal desk in the corner.

"This is your room. Nicholas is across from you and I'm right next to you. Your father will be at the end and your two guards will be in the middle." Tara said as she walked into the room and put the bag onto the bed. I followed as I looked around a little more.

"This is really nice. Thank you." I said as I gave her a small smile. She returned the smile and gave a small nod as she moved to the door.

"I will let you settle in and then come down for some breakfast." She said and then closed the door gently behind her.

I let out a sigh of relief and walked over to my bed and dropped down onto it as and looked up at the ceiling. I lay their thinking about how all this was going to turn out. About the girls, about who was doing this and Nicholas.

I don't know how long I laid there but in finally sat up and opened my bag and pulled out my white sweater and a black cameo to go under it with a pair of nicely fitted black wash jeans and some black boots just in case we went to where they found the males. I looked at myself in the mirror as saw the slight dark tent under my eyes from the lack of sleep and applied some under eyes canceller and a little mascara and pulled my hair up into a tight bun but let a few read curls drop around my face.

As I walked down the hall I noticed that they didn't have any pictures of anything on the walls. I thought that a little strange as I went down the steps and followed the sound of bacon, French toast, and the sound of Nathan's deep voice talking about something I couldn't understand.

I walked into the dining room and there sat at least seven people around a large cherry red wood table. Alpha Nicholas sat at the end facing me and he looked up at me and I could see him actually looking at me but his face gave nothing away.

His bright green eyes looked me down from the top of my head to my boots. He had an elegant but almost sharp face. His mouth was of a fair size and his skin was almost the color of cream. His dark hair was a little long and looked like he placed every hair just where he wanted it.

"This is my daughter Catherine" I heard my father say and I looked at him as if to clear my head for a moment.

"Catherine this is Alpha Nicholas" He said as he made a gesture to the man beside him.

I glanced back at Nicholas and gave him a slight smile and hastily said it’s nice to meet you and took a seat next Samuel the other guard who come with us. He turned and looked at me with the hint of wonder as I sat next to him and I just shrugged at him.

I couldn't hear the Alphas talking and I wasn't looking down at them. I was looking down at my French toast as I felt Samuel shove me slightly and I turned and looked at him.

"What?" I said with a hint of irradiation.

" Alpha Nicholas said he is going to have a few of his men lead us to where the men were found." He said as he looked at me with the look of pointing out the obvious face.

I nodded my head and took a few bites of the French toast before we all stood. I followed Samuel out the door and I could feel someone standing behind me so close I could feel their warmth. They smelled of mint and woods. I felt my shoulders tighten but I stayed right behind Samuel and then Nicholas stepped out from behind me.

"Ok Samuel, Joseph will take you to the place where we found our first male. Alpha Richard, my Beta Alexander will take you to the house where the second male was found. Nathan my sister will escort you to the third and.." He paused as he looked at me out the corner of his eye.

"Catharine and I will go to the last." He finished. Nathan and Samuel looked at my father with a questioning look and he just gave them a nod as if to say its fine.

"Ok everybody meet back in what an hour?" I heard my father ask. Nicholas just gave a nod of his head and everyone went off with the person they were paired up with and then I was standing there next to Nicholas.
