"What the hell where you doing?!" He yelled at me as he gripped my arms firmly not tightly. This it irritated me and then I grabbed a hold of his arms and shoved him which ended up pulling me down as well.
"You are such an ass." I snapped in his face with a slight ass. He griped my arms a little tighter and flipped me onto my back. He moved his hand quickly up to my face and held it firmly.
"I had him. What if he would have turned on you?" He snapped back.
"And how dare you attack me you Alpha let alone mate!" He continued.
"You are not my Alpha and the whole mate thing is still debatable." I growled back up at him.
"Yes it is." He snarled and turned into his wolf and ran off into the woods.
"Of course it would be me." I grumbled as I got up and snatched up his pants digging my keys out.
I threw his torn pants down and got into my jeep. I turned the ignition over and rammed it into reverse and back into drive and drove off.
I rammed my foot down on the gas and shot down the road. I didn't feel like going back to the house so I drove into town. I was on the road maybe fifteen minutes when I saw shops, businesses, and car lots. I pulled into a burger joint and went in for a burger. I pulled some emergency cash out from under the seat and went in.
It was fairly slow and I showed myself to a booth in the back. When the waitress came over I ask for a coke and their double stack jalapeño burger with paper jack cheese and a large fries. I must have been there maybe ten minutes and Nicholas came in and made a b line for me. He had a look of determination as he walked over to the both.
“oh yes please join me." I said in a sarcastic tone of voice.
"You took off. Why did you do that?" He said as he sat down.
"Really do you even really need to ask that? I'm equipped to handle crazy killing rouges not a naked mate who loses his shit because I helped him!" I said threw gritted teeth.
"You don't act like a normal Alphas daughter." He said leaning back as he waved the waitress over and said he would have what I'm having.
"What the hell does that mean?" I asked looking at him like he was the dumbest person alive.
“I mean in the way that you seem more like a warrior than a potential Luna. You have very little girl to you." He said as he looked me over again. I twisted my hands into fists and looked him in the eyes.
"We'll you where a disappointment to." I said threw gritted teeth.
Something flashed threw his eyes, maybe guilt. He didn't say anything else as he looked out the window. I could feel something inside me slipping away. The waitress came back shortly after with four plates. Two separates plates of burgers and fries.
“What’s the hottest pepper or sauce you carry?" I ask her as she refills our drinks.
“Umm I think we have some hot sauce in the back. You want some?" She asked while she tried to discreetly flirt with Nicholas.
"Yes please." I said as I threw Nicholas a sideways glance. She mumbled something and walked off and then returned with the sauce. I started putting some on my burger and then on my fries and I felt someone looking at me and my eyes met Nicholas.
"What?" I asked him as I continued to sauce my fries.
“You’re not seriously going to eat that are you?" He said almost sounding concerned.
I just smiled at him as I picked up a fries dripping with hot sauce and popped it in my mouth. He watched me expecting me to scream or something.
"Is the big bad Alpha not tough enough to eat this?" I said taunting him.
“I’m not going to be the one throwing hot lava up later." He said as he took a bite out of his burger.
"You sure about that?" I asked as surprise suddenly swept over his face. He handled the burger pretty well even though he went through like six cokes.
We were just sitting there in silence when I looked at him and asked.
“What is this supposed to do for us? Being mates? I mean someone's going to."
“I don't know. I do know this can’t get out. You’re the daughter of another Alpha I’m trying to team up with and the age difference, and I have already named someone as my mate." He interrupted me. That's when I really felt it. Then snap. I willed myself with everything I had in my not to cry or start beating him.
"Ok." Was all I could muster out of my mouth and I stood and threw a couple twenties on the table and made my way to the car.
I didn't hear him following me so when I got into my jeep I just left and went to the pack house. When I pulled up Samuel was standing on the porch leaned up against a post with his arms crossed over his chest waiting for me.
