The Lost Star

Silence defines night,
Vibrance defines day,
Death defines freedom,
You define pain.

The roads are hard,
The hills are mountains.
More than the pain I feel we can't stay the same,
It pains me more that I can't forget you.

When I was near you seemed far,
When I came far you seem lost.
Why is that the person who deserves the most,
End up fall in despair.

There was a time I heard you out loud,
But now I fail even when you call out.
Even eyes go useless when drawn to darkness.
Only the broken ones know the true value of love.

I lost my star gazing at the fireworks-
That lasted for few minutes.
No sooner I realize my star gone for eternity,
Passing my years in search of it,
Someday I wish to grab it and-
Seal it within me not to lose it again.
