link is a younger version of his adopted "father" leon. by "father" he means that he was technically adopted by him, although it was more a way to get link out of the orphanage he was in. they live together, share their income, which is actually very large. he is very different than his "father" (while the word "brother" may be more fitting). while leon prefers sniping, link prefers to torture his victims from a distance, until the victim kills themselves.
