Secret

Chapter 1

Lizzy's POV.

" How are you feeling that you are turning 21 this weekend? " my mum asked while washing the dishes. How do I feel? I don't know really, I would be lying if I said I wasn't excited. I was not planning on telling my mum where am going on my birthday, cause I know she would be pissed. "yeah, normal" I said to her while swallowing the last bite of my sandwich. " I am going to get ready for work" I announced while heading to my room. I don't know how or when I am going to tell her about me going to that hotel for my birthday, I have been saving up money for months cause obviously I could never afford going there nor my mum could. I sighed and opened my closet to choose what I was going to wear, not that I could really wear what I wanted because of the ' work dress code' thing, we were only allowed to wear white and black clothing.

I wore the first thing I saw which was a black knee length skirt with a white top, put my hair in a ponytail and added a bit of makeup to look a bit more presentable. As soon as I arrived at the Bakery I worked in, I saw Sarah. I greeted her with a big hug and immediately she asked the question that she asks everyday when she first sees me.

" Did you tell her?" she asked.

" What are you talking about?" I said knowing exactly what she's talking about.

" Oh c'mon you know exactly what I'm talking about, Don't act dump" she said rolling her eyes.

" Is that all you think about Sarah? you ask me this question every single day and I answer you the same exact answer" I said sighing. I know she really wants to know if I told my mum about me spending my birthday weekend at that hotel. But every time I try and tell my mum about it I feel a little bit guilty. She's been telling me about how she wants to invite family over at our place for a 'Family gathering' type of thing, but that idea for me was the most boring thing ever, I find it really awkward for some reason nor did I want to see anyone anyway.

" Lizzy, you do realize that your birthday is this weekend, when are you planning on telling her? on the same day or what? I don't know why you're finding it really hard to tell her, you never know she might say yes straight away."

" I know it may seem that I am making a huge deal out of it, but the thing is I don't want to disappoint her, she's excited about my birthday more than me, I just don't know how to tell her." I explained.

" she's your mum, you obviously know her better than I do, find a way to tell her and fast cause you don't have 5 years, you only have 5 days" she said. " c'mon, we have customers" Sarah said while greeting the first customer with a smile.

I turn my phone off and head over to Sarah to help her out.
