Our Story (The story of Blade and Katie)

Blade and Katie were walking through the woods when they heard something in the bushes rustling.

They had been lost for hours and Katie was scared.

“What was that?” Katie asked Blade shaking violently.

Before Blade could speak a ton of bunnies hop out of the bush and they both laugh.

“But what were they running from?” Blade whispers questionably.

Katie looks at him funny and then a small wolf appears and Katie screams.

Blade draws his six foot claymore. Katie takes several steps back and the wolf stares up confused.

Before Blade can bring his blade down Katie notices the little wolf is shaking.

“Blade stop!

He’s just a baby and it looks like he’s lost too maybe he’s hungry.” Katie yells and pinches off a piece of the sandwich she had in her bag and tosses it towards the wolf. The wolf eats it fast and wolfs at Katie.

“Come on Katie we need to get going if we are going to find a safe place to stay until we can find town.” Blade says and they start to walk away and he puts away the claymore, but the wolf is following close behind Katie.

He takes the dagger out of Katie’s pants from the place he knew she carried it and backed to follow behind the wolf so he could watch it and be ready for it.

“Why’d you take my dagger?” Katie stares at Blade because she knows the wolf is behind her and she knows how to protect herself.

“It looks like you have made a friend I’m just making sure he doesn’t decide you are a snack.” Blade says and nods towards the little wolf.

“And let’s hope his parents don’t come searching for him.”

“Blade he’s harmless” She says stopping and kneeling by the pup that is licking her and rubbing against her. “And if his parents were here they would have caught up by now” Blade just stares at her because he still doesn’t trust the wolf that is licking his best girls face now.

“We need to keep moving and find camp” Blade says as he looks at the night sky.

“Okay” Katie says and continues to walk not really knowing what way to go.

Then she sees a clearing and runs forward. Blade goes to say no, but before he could he is running after Katie. She stops when she gets to the edge of a pond and looks behind her.

Blade comes running behind her with anger in his eyes. “What’s wrong” She sits down by the pond.

“What if something happened to you?” Blade says looking like he was scared for me.

“I’m fine. Plus you are faster than me you would have caught up before I got hurt.” Katie says searching Blades eyes.

“That’s beside the point.” He says still angry.

“But I’m fine.” She says looking at her feet.

“I can take care of myself Blade by the way can I have my dagger back?” Blade can see the magic glowing in her.

“Damn it Katie you need to slow down sometimes and I can’t stay mad at you.” Blade says smiling at her.

Katie smiles and gets up reaching behind Blade to get the water bottles and filters to collect water.

“Here’s a good place to set up camp besides there is no other place.” She says as she bends down by the pond.

“Wait look!” Blade says and points across the pond.
